Following the devastation of the Infinite Crisis, New Earth coped with the destruction and controversy that had remained from the event. There seemed for a moment a progression towards normalcy, however things only became worse after the sudden disappearance of Superman. New Earth began to fall into deeper turmoil and was faced with the hostility from the governments of the world who believed that super-heroes only brought chaos to the world.
This belief resulted in the formation of the Global Super-hero Agency and the Peacekeepers, a global police force. Heroism and vigilantes were outlawed and an underground war took place. Months later, the law was finally reversed and those behind the inception were removed from power. For the next year, the heroes of the Earth tried their best to fight against the growing villain and criminal threats. One man finally decided to take the battle to the next phase – Mr. Majestic killed two murderers on national T.V. and then battled above the city of Chicago with the villain known as Triumph. Donna Troy, Scarlett Therein, and Mary Marvel all joined in the epic battle that forever changed the face of the world.
The event became known as the Global Crisis and was a crossroads for heroes and villains alike. In turn, three teams were formed; The Justice League, The Tribunal, and The Pantheon. Heroes and Villains alike were scrambled amongst the different groups, one group promising possession of the world, another standing by the original standards of heroism, and another bringing about a new age of heroic philosophy. Now there is danger at every corner - The Sinestro Corps is spreading its power across the galaxy, the Pantheon has taken over Atlantis, the new Serpent nation has risen, and Ra's Al Ghul is running for President.
With an iconic figure lost, new powerhouses rising and forming teams, the world begins to question the oncoming of yet another Crisis. As events begin to unfold and more figures paint themselves in the picture, the inevitable Clash of the Finest plagues the world yet again.
