Isabella Swan is not your average seventeen-year-old. Though relatively smart, she is clumsy and fairly awkward, and her life in Phoenix, Arizona has never been one of fun or interest. So when the opportunity to move in with her dad comes, Bella takes it - packing her bags and setting off to a new life in a town in the middle of nowhere...Forks, Washington.
Little does she know that when she arrives, her life will change forever, in ways she could have never imagined.
Forks is a small town, one of those places where everyone knows each other and is in each other's business. Her father, Charlie Swan, is the police chief of the town - so naturally everyone would know her as Chief Swan's daughter. And so Bella's arrival sparks much enthusiasm - especially with the other kids that go to Forks High School. Within her first day, she's hit on, stared at, and talked to by many people - but there's only one person that really intrigues her.
Edward Cullen.
She first laid eyes on him during lunch, laid eyes on his whole beautiful family. His captivating looks roped her in, but what clinched the interest was Edward's almost-instantaneous dislike for her, when they had never spoken a word to each other. Despite Edward's behavior, Bella is exceedingly drawn to him, and soon she finds herself infatuated with even just the very idea of him being near.
And then she meets Jacob Black. Getting reacquainted with him due to the friendship between their fathers, Jacob is a Quileute from La Push, and though they hit it off very well as friends, his stories about werewolves and vampires set the gears in Bella's mind in greater motion than they were before. But perhaps, that was not the best thing to do...
The Cullens. Who are they, and what are they? Is Jacob's story true? Is that why Edward harbors different feelings for Bella at certain times?
Let your mind wander through the doors of possibility,
but be careful who you associate yourself with -
you might get Bitten.
