The year is 1977. The place is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It's a dark era in our wizarding world. Lord Voldermort has been getting progressively stronger over the years, and most of the students have grown up almost their entire lives with the threat of Voldermort. No one is completely spared. Almost everyone has lost someone they love. Unless you're pureblood and 'loyal' to the cause. The Dark Lord has begun recruiting students barely past their OWLs, and the junior death eaters take their new job very seriously, and torment anyone and everyone who is mud blood or blood traitors. Meanwhile many of those 'blood traitors' and muggleborns are determined to fight back.
However, despite the dark shadow lurking over the wizarding world, Hogwarts is still a place full of teenagers and 'pre-teens.' While many students have lost family members and students are being pulled out of Hogwarts left and right, many parents know Hogwarts is perhaps the safest place for their children. (Despite the junior Death Eaters. Not that they know about those.) So our large group of hormonal teenagers are still sure to have plenty of drama. Close friendships will be made... and some lost. True love will be found, along with false alarms, flings, flirts, crushes, broken hearts, and so much more. Duels, hexes, and even some good old-fashioned physical fighting will occur over girls or perhaps just because you can.
So who will you be? Will you be the out going, protective Gryffindor? The quiet, brainiac Ravenclaw? The sweet, innocent Hufflepuff? The evil, death eater Slytherin? Will your character be a death eater or fight against them? Or perhaps they'll try to remain neutral... as long as they can. Will they make friends, enemies, find love? Will they stick with their house, or will they strive for house unity?
Hogwarts 1977 is an intermediate Marauder generation site. The site is brand new with plenty of open canons and admins eager to get the site up and running! We hope you'll decide to join!
