It had been a long time to Diomedea since she last came by at the lake. That place held so many memories for her which she felt afraid, angry and resigned to experience once more. She did not walk around the castle, she held no unnecessary tours, she avoided companionship and lingering on places more than was required of her – all in all, she kept to herself and stayed within her common room, and mostly the dormitory. For her who above all desired freedom and air, this was downright cruel and unbearable, but she had no other choice. Months passed when she felt the need to come at the lake and take out all those waves of stress accumulated from her deliberate incarceration.
Spring had come, and she had not realised it. The flowers had blossomed, the trees were green and the sky was as blue as her crystal eyes. She had never appreciated spring more in her life which now seemed to be embracing her warmly, as though to comfort her. She needed that, and welcomed it; the scenery was beautiful, the lake was calm, and she unleashed all the fears and insecurities she had over the place. She let her white dress fly around her with the light breeze as she dug her feet deeper into the sand, feeling the cold water splashing against her. How she had missed that feeling, and how she desired to swim to those endless clear waters and dive through its depths. She closed her eyes.
