Dominik was a nervous wreck. He was rushing around his room trying to find the pair of pants he was most comfortable in, trying to find a shirt that matched, looking for a bloody pair of matching socks. Oh it must have looked so amusing to the rest of his mates, but he didn't care. Danielle Dawson had agreed to go on a date with him, the Spring Festival. It was where all the love birds were going this afternoon and then the dance was this evening. She had agreed wholeheartedly to be his date and he wanted to make sure everything was perfect. He walked over to the mirror and looked at himself, he nodded at the choice of -outfit-. He thought he looked rather good, he just hoped that Danielle thought the same, speaking of which, it was nearly noon! He should be getting out to the entrance to the carnival to meet her.
Dominik rushed out of the room and down to the common area, he nodded to his mates and then walked calmly out of the door. He didn't know what it was now, he was just so calm, so ready for this. Could it be he had been so worried for nothing? This was like any other day with Danielle, right? No, this was better than just seeing her, because before, he had to keep his distance, he had to be friendly. No, she was his date, which meant he did not have to hide the fact that he liked her. He could not believe this was happening to him. He was friends with Cooper already, so in a way, he didn't have to worry about Cooper not liking him. Dani's best friend was in fact, Dom's cousin. It was... as if things were working out amazingly for him. He had finally gotten the nerve to ask Dani out on a date... and she said YES.
He looked around him, wow, the grounds looked fantastic. He was surprised to see them so lively. Wow, this was going to be fantastic. He could see all the fun rides and games and the like. This was really going to be great. He pulled out his wallet and checked it, making sure he had money to spend, which he did. He ran his fingers through his hair, his heart pounding in his ears as he walked toward the entrance to the carnival and his heart jumped into the his throat, he saw her, standing there, she looked... amazing. He could not help but smile widely and run his fingers through his hair. Now was not the time to get nervous. He needed to keep his wits about him. He needed to keep calm, keep control, and have fun. He smiled, calmed down now, and walked over to the entrance.
He walked to Dani's side and slipped his hand into hers, taking it and moving it to his lips, kissing it softly, before looking up at her and smiling, moving her hand from his lips, but not taking her hand from his own, if she wanted to let go, she could. But he was content with her hand in his. It was comfortable. "Danielle, you look...beautiful..." he said genuinely.

Danielle was surprisingly not nervous. She had already gone through her nervous 'omg this is a bad idea' stage the night before with Risi who had calmed her down and reassured her that it was what she wanted to do, and that it was going to be just fine. She had spent the morning changing and trying to decide on an outfit, and after making their dorm look like a small tornado had torn through it, her outfit was chosen. She had on -yellow shorts-, her -peace and love shirt- she had gotten from Risi for Christmas, with matching -earrings- and a -necklace-, and white flip flops. She had on a dash of eyeshadow and a bit of lip gloss and left her hair down in loose curls. When it was getting close to noon Risi wished her luck and and she walked up to the main floor and out to the entrance of the carnival.
She smiled and waved her fingers at him when she saw him as she headed over to him. He ran his fingers through his hair and this made her giggle for some reason. Oh she felt silly. He took her hand and kissed it gently. She blushed slightly and her heart skipped a beat. She was really going to enjoy this day. He didn't release her hand so she linked her fingers through and smiled up at him. "Thank you," she said smiling at him. "You look nice too," she told him. "So, what are we going to do first?" she asked him.

She really did look beautiful. Dominik was lucky to be with her today. He smiled softly to her when she linked her hand with his, it was a nice feeling to be holding her hand. He didn't need to worry about the proper way to go about courting a lady, he didn't need to fret about if he was doing something right or wrong. The only thing on his mind was Danielle, and he had so much to look forward to when he was with her. He sighed contently as he stood there for a moment, listening to her talk. "Thanks." he said simply before looking around the carnival. "Well, why don't we take a little walk around and see what all is here and then we can decided what to do when we see what's on the menu." he said to her softly before walking into the carnival. He looked around and inhaled the fresh air. It was a really nice day out, this would make for a great time.
He looked over at Danielle with a soft smile and rubbed his thumb along the back of her hand. It was a small sentiment, but it was genuine. He then looked over to the booths and then over to the ride area. "Well, it all depends..." he said after a moment or two of just walking around with Danielle. "What are you in the mood for?" he asked her, turning to her and stopping, they were on the side of the little walkway that had been marked, so that they did not get hit by any passers by. "Are you hungry? Or in the mood for some games? Or would you like to go on a ride. All are fine with me. I am just really happy to be here with you." he said honestly, going silent a moment later before taking a deep breath and smiling down and Danielle. "I mean that... I really do. I am so happy you agreed to come with me Dani..." he said softly to her.

It was a beautiful day out. Absolutely perfect for a carnival. There was a slight breeze and the beautiful sun was shining. Dani loved the sunshine. There was nothing better then laying out and soaking up a lot of sunshine. Except perhaps walking in the sunshine with her hand in Dom's. He rubbed his thumb across her palm. It wasn't anything big, but it was the small things, not the big things, that said the most. He was just as into this as she was. At least she hoped he was.
They walked around looking at all the booths. They got a few looks from some gossip girls, and while gossiping normally annoyed her today it made her happy for some reason. Because what it looked like was that Dani and Dom were dating. It was obvious this was a date at the very least. They would all be reading it like they saw it. With at least a little bit of proof behind it for once. She liked the idea of them dating. Besides, who knows? Maybe by the end of the night they would be dating, if she was lucky. She looked up at him eyes glistening and a bright smile on her face. "I'm really glad you asked me," she whispered tucking her hair behind her ear pausing for a moment just to look up into his eyes. Then she laughed softly. "I was starting to get worried that I'd have to ask you out on a date first," she teased pushing his shoulder gently with her free hand. Her other hand wasn't letting go unless she had to.
"Hmm," she said looking around at all there was to do. There was a lot of food, but she wasn't hungry yet. She looked around searching for something to do when she saw the ferris wheel. Her eyes widened with delight. She had been to muggle carnivals a million times before (her mother adored them) and the ferris wheel had always been her favorite. "I know!" she said pointing towards the giant wheel. "Let's go on the ferris wheel she said turning back to Dom her blue eyes bright with excitement.

Dominik could tell how happy Danielle was, it made him smile. He was so thankful to be with her today. If it had not been for Risi, he likely would have never had the guts to ask her. Risi got on his goat about it all the time, saying that Dani and him were seriously cute and that he could try something. Dom was nervous about asking Dani on a date, but he did what Risi told him to. Grow a set and ask her. Which is what she had said, verbatim. He really had a blunt cousin. He sighed contently as he looked at all the options. Well, he knew he would be getting a funnel cake before the end of the evening, he adored them. They were amazing. He looked to the side as he was scanning, he noticed the local gossipers looking at him. He smirked and looked from them, of course, they would talk about them. Not that Dominik minded at all.
He let his mind wander on the possibilities of what the girls could be saying, they were dating, or on a date. Something along those lines, one was true, the other... he thought about it for a moment and smiled slyly, would happen soon enough. He had a little plan for how he was going to ask that, this was of course if everything went well with Danielle today. So far, so good. He looked down at Danielle with a soft smile on his lips. When she teased him about asking her, he winked. "Wouldn't think of making you hun. Just had to pick the right moment to ask you is all." he said, which, was partially the case, the other was - he was terrified that she didn't like him or just wanted them to be friends, or had someone else in mind. He didn't like to think about things like that, but they were always in the back of his mind.
Dominik chuckled when Dani pretty much blew a gasket about the Ferris Wheel. He smiled brightly and nodded. "The Ferris Wheel it is!" he said triumphantly before walking toward the line, he kept her hand firmly, yet gently, in his own, waiting in line for the ride. He liked the Ferris Wheel, they would be able to see the entire carnival. "This is a smart idea Danielle... because we'll see the whole carnival from the top, so we'll get to see where we want to go next." When it was their turn the bar was raised, he allowed Dani to slide in first before sliding in himself. He sat back and made sure the bar was locked firmly, he moved his arm around Dani now. He smiled softly to her, pushing a small strand of her golden hair from her face as they began their ascend upward. He smiled to her softly, this was one of the best days of his life.

She grinned up at him. "Well the carnival is the perfect first date," she told him. He led her to the line and she followed. They didn't hurry, but they walked at their own speed just being happy to be together. "Well I'm just full of smart ideas," she said with a grin. "That was always my favorite part of the ferris wheel. Seeing all the people having fun," she told him.
They reached the front of the line and Dominik handed the Ferris Wheel... person the tickets and he let her sit first before he sat down. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and she smiled leaning her head on his shoulder. She was very comfortable with him. Neither were uncomfortable or awkward with their first date. It was kind of nice.
They started to ascend up and she looked around watching all the people having fun, and all the couples walking around. Plus the awkward dates from the date auction. They finally reached the top and she looked up at Dom. "Look at all the happy people," she said sincerely happy for them. Very suddenly there was an abrupt halt. They heard a commotion coming from the bottom. "I wonder what happened," she said looking up at Dom. Maybe it was stuck. No, hopefully it was stuck. It couldn't be more perfect then this.
Someone was calling up what happened, and the two girls below them looked up and called out 'It's stuck.' She called out a thanks and looked up at Dom. "Apparently we're stuck," she said stating the obvious.

Dominik smiled when she rested her head on his shoulder. He reached over with his other hand and ran his fingers through her hair softly for a moment before they began to move. He leaned back comfortably and looked at the grounds. "Wow, it looks amazing..." he said calmly, it really did. It was fantastic. He leaned forward slightly and looked out over the grounds, it was so amazing. He looked over at Dani, she was captivated. He smiled softly, she was what made this day so much better. "You are right, a carnival is a great first date." He chuckled when she commented on all the people down below. "There are quite a few. I think that the whole school turned out for this event. Even the Slytherins would not want to miss this day. It's such a great idea, I am glad the committee thought of it."
He felt a sudden jolt and he chuckled, shaking his head. "Go figure." he said to Danielle, smiling softly. She leaned over and had a conversation with someone below them and he chuckled, his hand resting on her shoulder, making sure she didn't fall. Even if the bars were firm, he didn't want to risk her getting hurt or anything. When she told him they were stuck he nodded and rested back into the comfortable position. His hand resting across her shoulders like they were before. He looked out at the scene before them and smiled. "Look Dani..." he said, pointing out at the lake, the sun was just hitting it, making it shimmer. He looked to her and smiled softly, resting his hand on her cheek. "The lake looks likes you eyes..." he whispered.

She was very comfortable up in the air with Dominik. She leaned her head on his shoulder and tucked one of her feet up so she was sitting on it. She was watching a couple of first years fighting over a cotton candy. That sounded good, she'd have to get some of that later.
She looked out where Dom pointed. The lake was beautiful with the sun shining on it. The lake always looked so pretty. She had never really looked at it from this height. You couldn't see the lake from the Quidditch pitch and she didn't fly very much other then that. He continued though and she looked up at him. "You really think so?" she said her eyes wide with delight.
She leaned up and kissed him gently on the cheek. "You're really sweet," she whispered.

He could see the delight in her eyes when he told her that. He smiled softly and shook his head. "No Dani, I know so." he said softly to her. This felt so right, sitting here with Dani, up in the air, watching everything down below. He smiled widely, not able to hide his happiness as she kissed him on the cheek before settling back down into her comfortable position. This day had just barely started and it was already going fantastic! He sighed softly with relief. He had been so nervous previously that he really didn't know if he was going to make a fool of himself or not. It was worth the risk though, to be with Danielle here, now. He mused to himself, it was entirely worth the risk of rejection or making a total fool out of himself. Though neither of those happened yet, so he was doing pretty good for himself he thought. It was comforting to know they fit well.
He looked out at the carnival and began to think of where they could go next. There were some more rides across the lawn area, in between them were some booths where people could play games to win things. He smiled, he wanted to win her something, or somethings... he had all this money that he was asked to spend here, so that they could help the cause. Dominik looked down at Dani and smiled, "So, I was thinking, when -- well, if we ever get off this Ferris Wheel, we could head toward the other rides and stop and play the games at the booths on the way there? Then maybe if you hungry we can grab something to eat either before the mass of rides or afterward, whichever suits you?" he asked her calmly, stroking her hair gently with the hand that was around her shoulders.

She laughed. "I'm sure we will, eventually," she said with a grin. "I think eating might be best after all the rides. Just in case," she told him. "I'm up for anything though. I chose the ferris wheel, so it's your turn next!" she informed him. "I'd love to play the games though," she said. "I'd love to do any of them really." His hand playing with her hair felt nice. She really was enjoying being stuck. In the distance from the top she saw her brother and Jayden walking down to the fair grounds. They were together... did that mean they were together? "Look," she said pointing, "There's Jayden and Coop," she told Dom.
Suddenly the wheel started moving again. "You'd think they'd have been able to fix it faster since they have magic and all," she joked. She was excited about the rest of their date though. They reached the bottom and she jumped out quickly and waited for Dom to follow her. "Games next you said?" she asked him reaching out her hand for him to grab.

Dominik smiled softly at her and nodded. "Food after the rides, sounds like a plan to me. Good idea too, because we can have a nice supper in the grass or courtyard or something and be nice and full for the dance this evening." he said with a smile. "The booths are on the way to the other rides so we'll hit some of those up. I hear they have some pretty neat prizes and the games are supposed to be a lot of fun." he chuckled and continued to play with her hair softly.
His attention was diverted however, when Danielle told him to look. He raised a brow and leaned forward slightly, his eyes widening at the sight he saw, he smiled widely. "Well, looks like Cooper and Jayden are talking now." he said, but then he looked more closely. "They are... really close..." he muttered, his attention moving to their hands. "He's... she's... they're holding hands!" he said, his voice dripping with happiness. He leaned back and smiled widely, so they were more than friends after all.
When the wheel started moving again Dominik let out a slight sigh, it was nice up there with Danielle, but he did want to go and do more things. He waited for Dani to get off before stepping out himself, he smiled when she held her hand out to him and took it gently, but firmly within his own. He liked that feeling, just holding her hand was extremely comforting and wholeheartedly worth the effort he had put in to become close to Danielle and befriend her. Now maybe something more would come of it.
He smiled and nodded. "Yeah, let's go check out the booths!" he entwined his fingers with hers, walking from the Ferris Wheel and over to the walkway once again, he looked to the side and Danielle and smiled softly to her, bringing their entwined hands to his lips, kissing the back of her hand gently before looking at the nearest booth. "Stuffed animals there, hm... looks like they have a good variety." he said with a mile. "Want to try out that booth? Looks like an interesting game." he said, looking at the bottles and hoops.

She grinned. He was right. They were holding hands. How adorable! "They used to do that all the time though before Christmas," she told him. They were practically dating before Christmas only without kissing or snogging or anything. They might be though. They do look awfully close. We'll have to find them later and find out," she said still looking at them. Which would mean Cooper would find out she was on a date with Dom and go in to over protective mode. Which would be annoying. Stupid Cooper. He could get over it though. Dom was a nice guy, and he liked him at Christmas time until he decided Dom was flirting with her. Then he insisted the guy was annoying.
He grabbed her hand and she looped her fingers through his. They started walking down until the reached the booths. "Sure," she responded to his suggestion cheerfully. "Aww, look at the giant panda bear!" she said excited as she pointed with her free hand.

Dominik nodded softly. "Yeah, I know..." he said before continuing. "Though, they did seem close before Christmas and even for part of the holiday... now the closeness seems more," he thought for a moment, not really knowing how to put it, before the word came to him. "intimate..." he finished with a slight smile. "They seem intimately close now, instead of platonic, as it was before." he was happy of this observation, it seemed as though Cooper made his move like Dom had been insisting. He hoped so.
Dominik nodded and smiled down at Dani before paying for a round of the game. He grabbed the hoop and thought carefully for a moment, no magic was allowed so this would be done entirely on a muggle basis. Which he didn't mind, him being muggle born. He flipped the hoop upward and it landed on the side of the bottle, falling off. He winced and chuckled before taking his second hoop and aiming again, this time it knocked the back. He looked to Dani and smiled. He took the final hoop and looked at the bottle for a moment, he scanned it carefully and swung his arm back slightly, flipping the loop, watching it flip through the air and land perfectly on the nape of the bottle.
The attendant clapped and he smiled victoriously. "I believe that the lovely young lady beside me was looking at the panda bear." he said, the attendant nodded and got it for him, he took it and thanked the person before turning to Dani and smiling. "I believe, Dani dear... that this belongs to you." He said before handing to her. He looked around for a moment and thought to himself. "So, would you like to try a few games? Entirely on me of course." he said, not wishing her to spend anything today, his family gave him money to lavish his date, he intended to do just that. Today was all about spending time with the woman he was falling for.

He was right. They did look closer. They didn't usually just hold hands out of the blue. She wanted to squeel with glee. She had watched them getting closer and closer. It was like a real life fairytale. Oh, she really hoped Cooper had finally manned up and made his move. She might just kill him if he hadn't.
She watched him play the game, very interested in what was going on.He was good. His first one missed, but the rest landed on the bottles perfectly. She clapped as well when the stand person applauded him. "Aww! He's adorable Dom. Thank you," she said squeezing the bear and looking up at him with happy eyes. "You throw well," she complimented. She looked down at the fluffy panda bear. "Now I just have to decide what to name her," she said thoughtfully. "What do you think of... Molly?" she asked him.
She smiled. On me of course. This was really a date, and she was really enjoying herself. "I'd love to play a game," she said with a grin.

Dominik leaned back and smiled slightly at her. "Molly is a good name for a Panda." he chuckled and wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they continued to walk. So that she could still cuddle 'Molly' and he could still be near her. He had his arm around her shoulder on the Ferris Wheel so hopefully walking was alright as well. If she didn't like it he would make sure not to do it again. He smiled down at her. "Molly the Panda." he nodded thoughtfully for a moment, thinking on that. Molly was a good Panda name, right?
After playing a good dozen or so games, Dominik laughing the entire time, watching Dani play and the look on her face when she won some of them was priceless. She was so beautiful, smart, amazing, wonderful... she was everything he'd been looking for, for all these years. He couldn't think of a better person for Risi to be best friends with and for him to be falling for. His entire body itched with anticipation for the rest of the evening. Things slowed down and got more romantic tonight... what would come of them? Could he bring himself to ask her to be with him? He hoped he could.
Upon leaving the dozens of rides they had been on, Dom was wobbling a little. He chuckled softly as he looked over at the positively glowing Danielle. She was still holding Molly, though there was a bungle of stuffed animals behind her. Dominik had won her some more and put a spell on them so that they floated in a close group behind her, so she didn't have to carry them all. He was thoroughly enjoying this date. He could not wait for what else was in store for them.
He looked down at all the food kiosks and raised a brow. "Well now..." he said after a moment. "There is certainly a lot to chose from for some food here." he smiled over at Dani and flicked his wand, so that the stuffed animals would go over to a table and not follow them into the lines they would be going in. He patted Molly's head softly before resting his hand on Dani's shoulder and, ever so cheesy like, moving his hand in a 'grandeur' motion, as if to showcase the food area. "So my dear... pick your poison." he said with a wink.
[[ooc: hahaha, so they can kiss. aren't you the little hopeful one! xD i hope i did not god mode too much for you, i wanted to still make it work nicely. <3]]
