It was such a lovely day outside, Nos thought to himself silently. One of the only days in the spring where there was no rain. He looked out over the grounds of the school and smiled slightly. It was a cooler day, not too cold though, it being nearly the end of March now. It was nice and sunny, so it warmed the air slightly. He looked out one of the open windows of the tower he was in. It was the only tower that was not used, so people would sometimes come up here to do things, snog, things like that. He didn't mind though, because no one was here today. Most of them were out enjoying the air and sun. Nos sighed softly to himself and looked out to the lake area. The water was shimmering, it was rather nice. He thought back to the year before, the girl he once knew, his ex, he remembered how he had wanted to ask her to marry him by the lake.
He thought bitterly to himself about the day he found her with that other kid in the greenhouses. Had he not made her happy enough? Had he not loved her and cared for her, held her and kissed her, did all the things a boyfriend was supposed to do? They rarely fought, they had their moments of course but every relationship had it's hard points. He was not saying that they were the perfect couple but they sure as hell were not as bad as some of his friend's relationships, and some of them were still going, which is just... foolish. He sighed roughly and looked from the lake, walking to the other window and looking down at the courtyard, he could see the people laughing and running around out there. There were so many people in this school, yet he felt alone. He closed his eyes, well this really dampened his mood.
Nos shook his head and walked to his school bag. He really should stop thinking about her. He was going to be miserable for the rest of his life if he kept that up. He sighed roughly and rummaged through his bag for his book. He took it out and opened to the last page he was on, sitting underneath on of the windows, the warm sunshine soaking his pages with light as he read. He scanned over the pages, letting his mind seep into the book, the sun on his shoulders, warming him, but the cool stone at his back kept him from getting overly hot. It was a comfortable warmth. He turned the page, taking out a quill and jotting down a little note in the book, it was his personal book and he liked to leave himself little notes, good for the mind. He kept reading, only stopping when he heard the light patter of feet on the steps, he looked up.
