It was raining, again. No surprises there, after all, it was March and March was the new April. England often rained, so Alina shouldn't have been annoyed, but she was. She had been hoping to spend her free time not getting wet, but alas, here she was her hair already soaking. She could, of course, go inside. But it was too noisy in there and she wanted to avoid all of the commotion. She wanted a bit of peace and quiet, she wanted to just relax and be alone. She hadn't gotten alone time in ages, it seemed that her life was so busy and hectic these days with every one of her teachers warning her about exams. Not to mention the fact that she reguarly served detention with the new DADA teacher. She wondered if she'd ever learn her lesson and stop insulting him and making snide comments, but it seemed unlikely, she just couldn't help herself. Maybe she really was like her father.
Leaning against a nearby tree, Alina quickly shivered and wrapped her robe around her. Decpite it being a relativly warm spring, the rain was starting to cool the temperature down, and seeming as she was already wet, she was feeling the cold temperature even more. But she was used to the feeling of being cold, or at least, she had used to be. But ever since meeting Nathanial, that had changed. Suddenly there had been hope in her pathetic life, and she had found comfort and safety within him. She'd never felt like that about anyone before, caring for someone and being cared for was an unusual feeling for her, and at times she was frightened. She didn't like being out of control, and the thought of loosing him scared her. So far, he hadn't been disgusted by any thing she'd revealed to him, but she was worried that sooner or later that her anger would be too much for him to handle and that he'd walk away. Alina couldn't be certain, but she was sure that if he did, the feeling of neglect and worthlessness would be worse then before the two had even met.
Sighing to herself, she began to picture him in her mind's eye. He was just so perfect. She had always been a sucker for a cute face, but she'd never thought in a million years that someone like him would choose her. Usually she made the first move, and it was usually only a one off thing. But this was so much better, Nathanial had filled the hole within her heart that she'd tried to fill for so many years. The way he had just whisked her off of her feet and stolen her away from the castle for a romantic evening had been awe inspiring. She'd never had such a magical experience before. It just pained her to think that the two hardly saw each other. He worked in the Ministry, and although he visited whenever he could, it wasn't enough. It was good in one sense though, Alina was able to continue the pretense that she was a tough girl. If her fellow students knew she was in love, then they'd think she'd gone soft, and Alina didn't want anyone to think that. It had taken her too long to build up a reputation, she wouldn't allow it to be destroyed over her feelings for someone else.

Papers, papers, and more papers. All he did was paperwork tonight, he had nothing else to do. His squad was on call as always but tonight it seemed, the only thing worth noting was that it was bloody raining like cats and dogs outside. Nathanial didn't mind the rain, he liked it to an extent, but he was never a big fan of the days on end of raining, kinda stopped that who, starry night, looking at the clear sky, sort of feeling that he always liked. He sighed and slid the last of his papers aside, looking to his colleagues outside his office window, most were gone, only a few remained now. He stood, grabbing his cloak and walking to his door, looking to the few that were there and nodding his goodnights. He needed to get out of there, needed to be away. He wanted to be alone for right now, but then something nagged at him. No... not alone... he wanted Alina.
He walked to the flu tunnels and looked around, the ministry was nearly deserted. He went into one of the tunnels and clearly spoke the address of his flat in London. It would have been a nice walk, had it not been for the rain, though he was planning on getting soaked anyhow. It didn't matter to him though, there was something far more important to him that keeping dry, those intoxicating eyes, soft skin, plump lips, electric hair... that body, that mind, that soul... as poetic as it sounded, it was true. He needed Alina like he needed to breathe and tonight... he was going to tell her that. He was going to tell her to never part from him again, to be with him until the end of times. He didn't care that they were on opposite sides of the force, no one would have to know about their relationship... but he wanted her.
Arriving at his home, Nathanial jumped in the shower, cleaning up and sliding on a simple pair of dark blue jeans and a black shirt. He slid on his casual shoes and combed his hair before standing in his living room. He had to block out his thoughts of Alina for a moment, he needed to concentrate on getting to Hogsmead, because he could not apparate to her on the grounds of Hogwarts. So he'd settle for close. He grabbed his broom and thought about the outside lamps of High Street, letting it fill his mind that he was there, in the late night rain. He pulled his hood up over his head and he was there, a soft pop the only sound echoing through the night, like a silent beacon, simply saying her name. Nathanial opened his eyes and hefted onto his broom, flying off toward the castle almost looming in the distance.
At his arrival to the castle he heard a commotion inside, so many people were out and about in the evening today. It was too loud for him to ascertain any of what people were saying, but he thought for only a moment before heading off toward the grounds of the school. Alina would not be in there... she hated people, hated noise. His world would be outside. He rushed to the grounds, looking around, he was just about ready to give up and go search someplace else when he caught a glimpse of electric blond hair. He flew toward her, he knew if he surprised her by coming up behind her it'd be a curse at his head, so he was not really looking forward to that. It would seem he would be outright about being here, no sneaking up on his lovely blond, she was not the kind of girl to leave a man standing after that.
He hovered a few feet above her before flying to the front of her and settling down in the grass. His hood was up, so it would be hard for someone to see in, he let it fall to his shoulders in the rain before walking slowly, almost casually over to her. He was silent for a moment, taking in every last detail of her, the way her hair clung to her face from the rain, the way her icy eyes looked around the world, deep in thought. He could always tell when she was thinking intensely, she got this look about her that simply said 'if you want to live... back of... i'm not prepared to talk to anyone', it was that look that made him fall in love with her from the first moment he saw her. She was sitting there on the stool, at the bar with some other girl, they were chatting, suddenly her brunette hair turned electric and he caught her eyes... oh her eyes.
He thought back to that moment, it was like he was hit with a train, slamming into him like he was nothing. It was like he had fallen in a waterfall, washing away all his previous women, all the virginity he stole, all the transgressions. They no longer mattered, he knew he had to have her, he had to be with her, had to make her his own. He snapped out of his little trance for a moment and walked closer to her, under the shelter of the tree it was not has had to see her, not as much rain was coming through. She was shivering... he didn't like that fact. Her clothes must have been all wet, he slid off his cloak and wrapped it around her shoulders, not allowing her to say no to him. He smiled to her, his cloak would keep her warm and dry, it had a spell on it making it waterproof, he then smiled kindly to her, looking into her eyes. "Hello, my dearest Alina..."

The rain had started to ease up slightly, rather then the downpour it had previously been, it had turned into a light drizzle. Not that it mattered really, the amount of rain wasn't important, she was cold and wet, but at least it made it less likely for people to crowd her. She hated being in big crowds, she was a solitary creature, she always had been, partly by choice, and partly through the brutality of her father. But she wasn't going to waste her breath in complaining over her home life, there was no way in changing what happened, she just had to work hard in making her father proud. Besides, in a few years it wouldn't matter, she'd leave Hogwarts, become a full member of The Dark Lord's Army, and then she'd get her revenge. It was that thought, that dream which kept her going, which helped her face each and every day of her dark and cold life. That... and Nathanial. Though she didn't like to think about it, or accept it, he was her world, he gave her hope and strength. She just wished that she had enough strength to tell him how she felt.
Looking towards the castle, she looked at the lights breaking out of the windows. The darkness soon engulfed the light as it faded away into the night skie's black abyss. She found herself drawn to the image. It seemed her life reflected what she was seeing. Her life was a black abyss, yet there was light trying to break through, and sooner or later, that light would fill her, and she would be free. She truely hoped Nathanial was that light, she couldn't bear if he left her, she wouldn't survive if he finally saw her for what she truely was, and turned away in disgust. She knew she did things that he didn't agree with, but she couldn't help it. She was trapped, the second the mark had been branded upon her, she had been bounded for life. She couldn't escape her fate, and it pained her to think that someone as great as Nathanial had come now, she'd often wondered what would have happened if they'd met before, and she hoped.... no. She knew that if he'd been part of her life a year ago, that she wouldn't have become a Death Eater.
As her thoughts remained on Nathanial, she began to remember the first time they'd met, of course, she'd seen him from afar at a bar, but they'd only spoken a few words, had a small dance and that was it. Although Alina had been captivated by him then, she'd not seen him for a long time so her thoughts had left him. Yet when she'd arrived for her next year at Hogwarts, the two had met again. She hadn't realised it had been him till much later on. Their evening together had been so magical, it was almost as if fate wanted them to be together. She couldn't forget about him now, he was like a drug to her, some bug that she couldn't get rid of, and she didn't want to. She wanted to be with him forever, she never wanted to forget him, she was nothing without him.
The feelings she held for Nathanial were sometimes frightening, after all, she was used to spending a night with a boy and leaving it at that. Occasionally it would last longer, maybe a week or two, but no matter how long she'd been with someone, she'd never really felt anything for them. There had only been one person she truely had felt something for, but upon meeting Nathanial, all that had gone. She was unsure of what these feelings she had for him were, and although it frightened and confused her, she was surprisingly happy. She no longer felt alone, as long as she thought of him, he was there.
Opening her eyes, a small gasp escaped her lips as she saw Nathanial walking towards her. Rubbing her eyes she quickly pinched herself, nope, she wasn't dreaming, he was really there, either that, or her imagination had improved. Clutching onto the bark behind her, she allowed her wight to press against the tree as her knees began to buckle under her. However, she remained upright, she wouldn't allow Nathanial to worry about her, she wouldn't let herself become weak in any way.
She tried to protest as Nathanial took of his cloak and put it on her, but it was so warm and dry that she didn't. Besides, there wouldn't be any point, she'd only end up wasting her breath. He cared for her health and safety too much. It was annoying at times, but she was glad to have someone actually care for her well being, she just wished he'd lighten up every so often. A bit of cold never hurt anyone, but she was glad to have the cloak, it was obvious that it was enchanted, there was no other explanation for it being so warm and dry.
"Nathanial" The words escaped her lips in a soft whisper, she was so happy to see him, she hadn't expected to see him for ages, a holiday was coming up soon, a 'spring break' and although Alina usually stayed at home, she had hoped to spend the holiday with Nathanial. But seeing him now was more then she'd ever hoped and dreamed for, nothing could ruin this perfect moment. "I was just th-" Cutting herself off she turned her face away, hiding behind her wet hair. She'd almost revealed that she'd been thinking about him. It may not have seemed like a big deal, but Alina was new to all of this, and she was still uneasy with her feelings towards him, she didn't want to spoil it. "I didn't expect to see you here" She continued looking back at Nathanial, her eyes sparkling for the first time in ages. "I've missed you."

It was as if he was walking into a dream, looking at her, Alina was his world now and he was no more free from her than he was from his own soul. She was within him and he was caught inside that intoxicating gaze of hers. He loved her. But could he tell her? Worry welled into his heart as he thought about what she might say to him if he told her that he loved her, that he needed her, that he wanted her with him. He wanted to marry her. She cleared his throat as if he was going to speak to her, but no words came. He had to find a way to tell her. When she spoke in a whisper to him he felt himself shiver. That voice. Oh that voice. It was like she was a drug, she could kill him so easily, but he was addicted nonetheless. He wouldn't put up a fight if she ever tried to kill him... because he would not bear a life without her, so there was no point in living if she turned on him.
He thought about what he was saying and almost gasped, this girl was that deep?! He could not help but smile inwardly, yes, she was, and he wanted her even deeper within her and he wanted to be deep within her as well. In more ways than one. He smiled softly when she cut herself off before saying she was just thinking about him. He knew that was what she was going to say because of the way she hid behind her hair. It was so adorable, almost childish, and it made him only want her more. He moved his finger underneath her chin, tilting her face back to meet his own. He nodded gently when she spoke about not expecting to see him in the grounds. He leaned in slowly, savoring the closeness between them, taking in her scent as he bent slowly to press his lips against hers gently.
It was a soft kiss, sensual, in a way. It was not where near provocative or the usual kiss that Nathanial gave to the women he was with. This kiss was almost... innocent. He pulled back from her, still close to her though, his fingers trailing from her chin down her neck ever so gently before he moved his hand from her, though they were still rather close. He didn't wish to lose that closeness between them, he wanted to keep it like that, keep them close. Forever if he could. "I just got off of work and figured I'd go for an apparate and a little stroll. I suppose I was thinking about here because I arrived at Hogsmead." he said, a slight teasing to his whispers to her. It was not wholly true of course and he was certain that Alina would catch on and know that he was indeed planning this little trip. It was no accident.
He smiled softly when she told him that she missed him, oh to hear those words from her lips! He couldn't help but lean in once again, his hand sliding to her cheek now, from it's spot next to him. He caressed her cheek gently and pressed his lips against her's one more, a soft and meaningful kiss, longer than the previous, but no less innocent, no less loving. He poured his soul into her lips as it were. He wanted her to feel how much he wanted her, how much he needed her. If it was possible, he wanted her to know even without the words he knew would eventually leave his lips. He pulled back moments too soon for him, hours, days, even. If he could he would have kissed her lips until his dying day. He smiled gently to her and whispered gently, a few inches from her lips. "I missed you too... my dearest Alina..."
He didn't stop caressing her cheek for a few moments as he looked at her. The rain all but stopped now, which was a good thing, he wanted to walk with her, wanted to talk with her. He leaned back, his hand sliding slowly from her cheek as he took a few steps from her. Smiling as he did so. "You look so beautiful as always my dear. And even better in my cloak." he winked teasingly to her. His eyes never leaving hers as he thought about what else of his she would look amazing in. One of his shirts perhaps. It seemed to be tradition, or something of the sort, for muggle women to wear their man's shirt after having sex. But he would simply not do for sex with his woman who was like Eden. No, he would make love to her, all night long, until their bodies ached from the passion. If he only could, if he only could tell her how he felt.
Would she be his? Would she be with him? He didn't know and he was worried to find out. He wanted so much to be with her that it was like his heart swelled up at the thought of being with her until the end of time. Her taking the last name of Cain willingly, saying "I Do" in front of those they loved or no one at all. He didn't much care. It would suffice, more than suffice, with her just being his. He stood strait now, his mind done wandering for the moment, he needed to think about the fact that she was here and not home in his bed, not behind held by him and feeling her love and his combined. He smiled softly to her and bowed to her, before leaning back up and looking deep into her eyes. "My dearest Alina... I was wondering if you would do me the honor of accompanying me on a little after supper fly?"
He took a few steps back and revealed his broom which was close to the lake. He motioned to the broom before walking back over to her and sliding his hand out before her, wishing for her to take it. He smiled gently to her. "There is a parlor... open all night in London in the spring, for occasions such as this. I would like to take you out for some ice-cream and maybe a fly over the London bridge?" He asked her, really hoping she would go with him. He wanted to take her everywhere, he wanted to spoil her if he could. He just wanted to be with her, wanted to see her smile, wanted to see her laugh, with more than her lips. He wished to see the smile and the laughter within her eyes, her beautifully intoxicating eyes that had bewitched him body and soul. He wished so much for her to be free with him. Like he was with her...

As Nathanial walked towards her, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. He had that expression on his face, he was seeing her as something more then she was. He'd often said in letters that he felt as if it were all a dream when he was around her, that he was the luckiest man on the planet to be with her. But Alina didn't agree, how could he ignore what she was and see beauty? How could he possibly think that being with a monster like her was lucky? No... she wasn't a monster, the only monster was her father, but she was close to something like that. She inflicted pain on others, she was a Death Eater, she was cold, heartless and cruel, she didn't deserve such compliments.
Where as Nathanial's life had been full of light and dreams, her's had only been full on unending darkness and nightmares. How could Nathanial possibly understand her? How could he trust her without a second's doubt? It just wasn't natural. Many people said that opposites attract, so maybe it was only natural that the world of dreams and nightmares would come together. Yet though she'd been affected by him, it seemed none of her darkness had rubbed off on him. Whenever she saw him, he became a beacon to her world, guiding her out of the shadows and into a world of hope. Yet he'd never seemed affected by her harsh words and coldness towards others. He'd never seemed bothered, and it hadn't changed him at all. He was still the same caring and wonderful guy she'd met all those months ago. So many guys before him had ended up either satisfied with what they'd gotten and had left, or had been disgusted by her nature. And yet he'd withstood it all. She just couldn't comprihend how or why.
As he cleared his throat, Alina looked at the ground, unsure of what to do or say. She was never good with words when around him. Usually her mind was so collected, she could withstand anything. But being around him stripped all that away. She felt weak around him, normally that would frustrate her to the core. But she didn't seem to mind when she was with him. He was her strength, she could rely on him easily. It was frightening, but it was easy, she felt comfortable around him, something she'd never really experienced before. She wanted to scream it out to the heavens, but she couldn't. Her pride and her status within her house kept her quiet. She'd already been punished for being weak once, she couldn't allow it to happen again. And if any of her house mates were to discover this? She'd once again be thrown into the lower pit of her house, she'd be looked down upon and despised. She just couldn't let it happen again, she'd worked too hard to regain her status and trust among her fellow peers. If she slipped up, she might never regain her power again. And her feelings for Nathanial couldn't break that desire, power was important to Alina, she needed to be strong to overcome her father, she needed to be respected in order to never again feel that pain. If she was seen to be weak... who knew what pain she'd have to endure.
She had been a fool, normall she was intellegent. But she must have been foolish to say such things to Nathanial. It wasn't fair on him. Yes, she liked him... alot. If she was brave enough to admit it, she'd even said she loved him. But the fact was, when it came to things like this, deep intimate relationships, she was a coward. She was too concerned with how people saw her that she knew she couldn't admit it, at least not yet. Maybe when she finished school she might be able to. But who knew if by then they'd still be together, and if they were...would she be able to admit it? After all, she'd be joining The Dark Lord's army. She knew Nathanial dissaproved of Voldemort and his views, and she was still afraid of telling him she was a Death Eater. But the truth was, she did see Voldemort's point, there was no room for mudbloods, and she didn't really have anywhere else to go. The mark was branded upon her skin, she was a member for life. If she betrayed him, she'd be tortured and killed. It was that sort of fear that kept her quiet. She couldn't admit to Nathanial that she loved him, in the same way she couldn't admit to him that she was a Death Eater. It would be too painful for her.
She felt him tilt her face to his own, and she suddenly felt ashamed to look at him. But she couldn't look away, he had her in his sight, his hand was too strong to fight against, and she found she didn't want to fight it. No matter how guilty she felt, she wouldn't hurt him, she wouldn't fight him. Even if it meant keeping secrets, she'd risk that in order to keep him safe. As he leaned in to kiss her, her eyes closed slowly, wishing she were a better person, wishing that something this amazing, this special didn't have to be hidden. As their lips touched, she felt her whole body explode. Though it was a soft kiss, tender and innocent, it was enough. He was her whole world, she'd missed him so much, and seeing him, feeling him had given her life a boost of hope. Her hands began to shake as he kissed her, her whole body soon followed and a sigh escaped her lips as they parted. She tried to say something, but no words seemed to express what she was feeling right now. This kiss had been like no other, each one of his kisses were like that. She was used to seuctive kisses, not kisses like this. A small tear ran down her cheeck as his hands moved to her neck. This moment was so perfect, she just wished it didn't have to end. Sooner or later she'd have to goback to the common room, and he'd have to go to work. If only we were the same age
She wanted him to stay, this closeness that they were sharing was what she'd always wished for. Everytime her father had struck her, she'd wished to find love with someone else, she'd wanted to feel close to someone. She'd all but given up before stumbling across this saint. It was no surprise that she was getting emotional because of it. He was more then she'd hoped for, and deserved. What had she ever done to deserve someone as perfect as him? "I must be lucky that you were near by" He was doing the same as her, twisting the truth. It was so sweet of him to tease her like that. She was intellegent, even if people were led to believe otherwise, and she knew he'd come spercificly to see her.
As he once again leaned in to kiss her, Alina returned the kiss with passion, hoping that in some way, Nathanial would feel her love so that she'd never have to utter it. Clutching the tree,, her hands moved to his shirt and she pulled against it ever so slightly. She didn't want this to end, she wanted time to freeze with them there, forever embracing, forever kissing. She wanted him so badly, more then she'd ever wanted anyone else. It was killing her inside to think that the two would have to go their seperate ways by the end of the night. She wished there was a way for them to remain together, but there wasn't, not unless she quit Hogwarts, and she knew Nathanial wouldn't let her do that. Not to mention the fact that it would arouse suspicion.
As he stepped away, Alina's breath became fragmented as she struggled to breath. It was no the length of the kiss which had caused it, but the love she felt for Nathanial, and the amount of passion she'd recieved in the kiss. As he stepped away, she followed like a sheep. Their steps matched one another perfectly, she wouldn't let him get too far away. She wanted to be close to him, the seperation from him was too much to bear, especially after that "I'm glad you approve, I thought it wasn't my style." Pulling the cloak around her, she nuzzled into it, taking in Nathanial's scent. She'd love to have something like this that she could keep, it would make their time apart more bearable.
As Nathanial asked her to accompany him flying, Alina tried to hide her discomfort. Flying really wasn't her thing, she'd never really enjoyed it. She did it if she had to, but she never did it for fun like other's did. She wasn't sure why, but it didn't seem exciting to her. Maybe it was the height that caused it, or the uncomfortableness of the broom. Maybe she just found it unnessicary. Whatever the reason, it wasn't something she enjoyed. Yet she nodded and followed him willingly. She wouldn't spoil this just because of her own selfish views. Besides, what he was describing sounded so romantic and perfect that she dared not refuse. "It all sounds so wonderful Nathanial. And maybe perhaps the events may continue on to something else. I'd hate for our time to end so shortly." Her voice began to break and she coughed to conpensate, she wouldn't let herself cry. "The time when I don't see you is unbearable... I don't want our vening to end." She whispered as she clung to him. She wanted them to be together forever, why was it that things seemed to block that desire?

Nathanial smiled when she took his hand, but it was not the same feeling as it had been before. He sensed she might not like something about his idea, then it occurred to him, in the time he had known Alina, had she eve willing gotten onto a broom. He inwardly chuckled, Alina must not like them very much. Well, he would soon change her opinion entirely. Or so he hoped. He was walking with Alina toward the broom, his hand holding hers both firmly and gently. He was taking his time, looking out over the lake as he walked with his dearest Alina. He slowed slightly and pulled her closer to him when she spoke of this evening ending. His lips itched from him to say 'it doesn't have to' for him to tell her to come back with him, stay with him. But he didn't know how she would react. Didn't know how she would take him asking her such a thing.
So instead he nodded softly, whispering softly 'shhh' into her hair. "We will see what our night brings us." he said into her bright blond hair. He held her close to him for a moment, just reveling in the feeling of her against him. He closed his eyes and sighed contentedly before pulling back slowing and continuing to lead her to the broom. He went to it and thought for a moment, his Alina beside him. He smirked slightly and mounted the broom, but he mounted the back of it, pulling Alina onto the broom with him, but she was in the front. Her body smaller than his, he could easily embrace her as they flew and it would be much easier for her to see the sights of London that way. He would use that very excuse for the reasoning behind their position, not the fact that he ached so much to just hold her to him.
Nathanial whispered into Alina's ear as he gripped the broom, his arms on either side of her. "Hold on my dear, lift off is always a little more face paced than anything else." he said to her gently, leaning his head softly over her shoulder, just taking in her smell for a second or two before pushing off of the ground and shooting toward the lake, still parallel with the ground, only about six or so feet up in the air, he would lift higher after they had gone over the lake. He smiled gently and leaned to the side slightly, pressing his cheek against Alina's before turning his face to where his lips pressed against her cool cheek for a second. He pulled back and looked out over the water as he went swooping over the icy depths. He smiled brightly and motioned with his head to the lake before them.
It was like the world was skating on this water. The dark shore to the ever midnight sea. It was beautiful, the light from the moon careening off the surface of the lake as the creatures looked for their shelter below. The air around the lake smelt of water and was cool and damp to the touch, almost like the air itself was able to be felt. Nathanial could feel the slight dampness hitting his face and he had to admit, it was invigorating! Or was it the beautiful woman he was embracing upon the broom that lightened his body and made him feel as if he was in heaven? Could she be the real reason for his happiness these past months? He was nearly certain of it now. Alina had captured him, and he loved her. Though he did not know if she felt the same, he knew he loved her and he would do everything in his power to show her someday.
They were reaching the edge of the lake when he was snapped from his thoughts. "Hold on." he whispered into her ear as he tightened his forearms around her slightly, still holding onto the broom, shooting straight up and into the sky. The clouds coming closer and closer to them. He smiled softly and asked Alina "Have you ever seen the hidden stars? Did you know they shine the brightest when no one can see them?" he was of course not only speaking of the stars, but of his star as well. His Alina. They continued upward for another few moments before rushing through the thick clouds from the rain. Upon exiting the cloud cover Nathanial straightened out, parallel with the ground once more. He sighed softly. "Welcome to the stars." he said looking out at the endless wave of white clouds and the eternity of stars above them.

[OOC: sorry for delayed reply, been sooooo busy. And don't worry about the god mode stuff, ILY MyLa and trust you so I don't really mind ] Alina smiled nervously as Nathanial took her hand and began walking her towards the lake, though she was certain, or at least hopeful that Nathanial would have worked out that by now she hated flying, she trusted him enough to know that he wouldn't let anything happen to her. She knew he'd protect her and not let her fall, and even if something bad happened, she knew he'd save her. He'd already proven that he wouldn't let anything bad happen to her, she just had to trust and believe that he was telling the truth, and although it was a lot for her to trust someone, she did trust him.
As she looked at Nathanial, concentrating on his face to distract her mind from what was to come, she noticed his lips twitch, as if he wanted to say something. Running her hand along his chest, she found herself curious as to what he wanted to say. She didn't mind what he said, so long as he continued to protect her. If he turned out to be like her father, then she'd never forgive him. But for now, she was happy just being with Nathanial. She didn't care what they did, so long as they did it together, and she just wished Nathanial was brave enough to tell her what he wanted to say. As he spoke into her hair, she tightened her grip on his shirt, oh how she loved feeling his breath in her hair, it made her feel so alive.
As Nathanial mounted the broom, pulling her along with him, Alina suddenly realised what was about to happen, she had been aware of the fact that she was about to fly, but now on the broom, it all seemed so real. Closing her eyes, she held on tightly, afraid that even a few meters from the ground would frighten her too much. As she felt Nathanial's arms around her, she slowly opened her eyes, he'd keep her safe, she knew he would. As Nathanial told her to brace herself, Alina quickly snapped her eyes shut, it was just like being in a plane, she hated flying in those, and brooms were worse, brooms you could feel every tiny movement, and you had the misfortune of seeing everything below you. Alina wasn't totally sure why she hated flying, or when her fear had begun, but she knew that it was strong enough to stop her from even approaching brooms. But with Nathanial here, she'd gone much further then she would do alone, and part of her was proud of her achievment.
As Nathanial pushed off from the ground, a small gasp of fright escaped Alina's lips and she buried her head in Nathainals arm. As she felt his cheek on her own, she removed her head and smiled as he kissed her. Slowly, she opened her eyes, and her jaw nearly dropped at the sight before her. She'd always looked at the lake, but never like this before, it was almost as if she was walking...no, running on the water. It was so amazing, so romantic and breath taking. Deciding to go for the plunge, she looked down at the water below them. Seeing her reflection with Nathanial, it almost looked right, as if it were meant to be like this. It was almost as if her reflection had become complete now that Nathanial was here, but she dared not say anything, Nathanial would probably think her a child.
As Nathanial told her to hold on, Alina snapped out of her thoughts and tightened her grip on the piece of wood. Honestly, in her opinion, wood flying was just unnatural, and she was a pureblood! She had been raised in magic and such things as brooms, and yet it still seemed so unnatural to her, maybe that was why her father was so cruel, maybe it was because she was a disgrace to pureblood. Such thoughts turned her cold, and she suddenly felt angry. "Stars are always seen, if we cannot see them, someone else can."
