{ About The CHARACTER }
x Matilda Agatha Hoffman"Tilda, Tildy, Matty, Milly"
CANNON OR ORIGINAL: Original YEAR: 7th AGE: 17 DOB: June 6 RACE: Caucasian GENDER: Female SEXUALITY: Heterosexual WAND: Vine Carved Plantation Teak, 15", Essence of Dragon Heartstring BROOM: N/A PET: She had a Scottish Fold cat named Barnaby, but he died over Christmas break, so she got a new kitten named Mr. Fuzzykins… or just Fuzzy. What’s adorable about the kitten is that it’s a Munchkin kitten.
APPEARANCE: Matilda is what people would call a pretty girl. She has dark, almost black, brown hair. She has bangs that frame her small face. Matilda has a small bone structure and is a rather petite girl. Her face has a pixie quality to it and her extraordinarily red lips stand out against her pale complexion. Her eyes are a coffee brown and her eyelashes are long. Her nose has a pixie quality to it and overall her face and build make her look young and slightly innocent. Most people consider her pretty, but everyone agrees that she is cute. She’s always smiling and laughing, which definitely helps with the cute quality. Matilda stands at five foot one and, as stated, has a petite figure. She likes to keep her hair down most of the time, but occasionally she likes to put her hair up. Make-up she keeps at the minimum unless there’s a special occasion to go to and then she puts on more make-up. She always wears make-up unless she’s sick, however, because she doesn’t feel completely awake and alive without eye make-up especially.
Matilda’s style is, like her personality, cute and wacky. Being a half-blood she doesn’t wear normal pure-blood dress, but she doesn’t really wear muggle clothing either. Since her mother is a costume designer, Matilda knows how to sew and also design and so she makes many of her own clothes. Lots of times she takes wizard clothes and muggle clothes and combines them and sometimes she simply makes up her own personal style. Matilda’s style isn’t weird, but more wacky and cute. She wears what she thinks looks good and mostly other people agree with her. When lounging around the common room she tends to wear plaid pajama bottoms and t-shirts. When wearing her school uniform, she goes by regulations. All of her clothes are neat, ironed, and worn straight and unwrinkled, this is mostly due to her Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, and she can’t stand it when other people’s clothes are messy. FACE CLAIM: Felicity Jones
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Matilda is absolutely adorable. She is extremely friendly and loves meeting new people and having friends. However, she also has slight Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD), which is a lot like OCD, but not as profound. Matilda likes things to be neat and orderly. She likes to have a routine and kinda freaks out when she can’t follow routine. Her room and her person are spotless and straight. When she is walking on a tiled floor she can’t look at the floor, otherwise she has to walk evenly on tiles without stepping on cracks. Also, if a floor or wall or anything ha a pattern, she has to figure out the pattern. If something simply does not have a pattern it drives her crazy. This is the main reason that she hates modern art. To help with her obsessive attention to detail and need to have everything orderly, her mother started giving her drawing lessons, hoping to help Matilda to break out of her mold. It helped Matilda and she is less compulsive than she was when she was little, but mostly just with drawing.
Her OCPD is only part of her personality, however. Matilda is a friendly, loving girl. She’s extremely happy and optimistic and people can’t stay mad at her for very long. She’s an extremely good student, mostly because she has to have everything neat and the way it’s supposed to be… and to her schoolwork is supposed to be done well. Matilda has a slightly wacky personality as well, she loves to joke around and sometimes can be a bit strange. She has an active imagination and is always imagining scenarios in her mind. Because of her imagination she loves to write stories and draw to get her imaginings on paper. When she was younger her parents started her with dancing lessons. She took ballet, but then added tap and swing, loving both. Her dancing has kept Matilda fit and healthy. Matilda does not like playing Quidditch, since she doesn’t like being in the air without her feet touching the ground. BOGGART: Everything disorderly PATRONUS: A cat… she adores cats HOPES FOR THE FUTURE: Matilda is not completely sure what she wants to do. She loves designing like her mother, but she also loves potions. She’s considering doing wizard type forensics because that field fascinates her.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: She’s normal in her abilities mostly BLOOD: Half BIRTHPLACE: London, England MY FAMILY: Father: Sean Hoffman Mother: Victoria Hoffman Brothers: Derik Hoffman (15) Ernest Hoffman (12) Sister: Lorelie Hoffman (10) WHATS IN THE PAST: Sean and Victoria met after Sean graduated from Hogwarts. He was working at the Ministry of Magic with the muggle relations department. Victoria, a muggle, was majoring in theater costume designing at Oxford University and was in her second year. The two literally ran into each other in the Oxford school library, where Sean was doing research for a paper he had to write to receive special training in his field. Apologizing profusely, Sean picked up Victoria’s books and Victoria was not at all chagrined at running into a handsome young man. They exchanged names and, because Victoria was avoiding homework, began talking. Though nothing happened with this encounter, Sean and Victoria got along capitally and agreed that they hoped to run into each other again sometime. This opportunity presented itself the next week when they saw each other at a local café. Once again they chatted and this time agreed to arrange another get together. After several of such informal meetings Sean finally summed up the courage to ask Victoria on a date. She gladly accepted and they dated for about a year.
After a year of dating, Sean decided to tell Victoria about his being a wizard. Victoria was shocked at first, but then suddenly became extremely intrigued and spent the next two hours getting Sean to do magic. Her boyfriend’s skills fascinated Victoria and she felt very special for having him. Glad that his ability did not put a hitch in their relationship, Sean continued dating Victoria for another year. Realizing that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Victoria, Sean once again summed up his courage and asked Victoria to marry him. They were walking through the park to see a movie one Saturday when Sean made his decision to just pop the question already. Although it was raining steadily, Sean handed the umbrella to Victoria and suddenly knelt in front of her. Pulling out the ring, he asked her to marry him. Victoria was so happy and surprised that she dropped the umbrella as she said yes. Then, with little regard to the dropped umbrella, Victoria soundly kissed Sean. Both soon realized that they were getting wet and laughed at Victoria’s reaction. Five months later the two were married in London and spent their honeymoon in America.
Three years after they married, the couple had their first baby… Matilda. No one could have been more delighted than the new parents and they soon became absorbed in their little daughter’s life. Sean was by then working in a higher position with the Ministry of Magic and Victoria was working with a theater company. Victoria took some time off from working to take care of Matilda, but kept working on the side. Two years after Matilda, Derik was born, then Ernest was born three years after Derik, and lastly Lorelie was born two years after Ernest. Though busy with her children, Victoria still did costume designing on the side. Sean and Victoria were and still are attentive, loving parents.
As a small child, Matilda’s parents realized early on that the girl had a small quirk when it came to thigns being straight. Also, she was a great believe in schedules. Whenever Sean and Victoria did something with Matilda that was off schedule the tiny girl began to start freaking out. Realizing that their daughter probably had some personality disorder when it came to such things, Sean and Victoria stuck to a strict schedule with Matilda. As she grew it became obvious that Matilda had a disorder and her parents tried to help her lead as normal a life as possible. Despite adhering to a strict schedule and being an extremely neat child, Matilda led a normal life. She got along capitally with her siblings and loved playing with dolls. Having an active imagination, Matilda thought up all sorts of scenarios to play. Princesses and Robbers was her favorite, and she would make her little brothers be robbers who kidnapped her and her little sister (the princesses). Her flair for the dramatics also crept through in her personality and she tended to make much of small things.
Matilda’s mother decided to take a break from working when Matilda was old enough to go to school and instead made the decision to teach her children at home. Part of this was so that she could pay more attention to Matilda’s personality disorder, but it was also because she loved being home and having her kids home. Matilda still had loads of friends, since she was a friendly soul, but also became very close to her family. When she turned eleven and got her Hogwarts letter she was excited but also scared. Her mother worried a bit about how Matilda would fair at boarding school, but decided she would trust her daughter to work through her problems herself. Sean was delighted that his daughter shared his magic ability and assured Victoria that their daughter would be fine.
At Hogwarts Matilda made many friends and though her OCPD made life a little more complicated she got along fine. She constantly writes two letters a week to her family, though two of her younger siblings are at Hogwarts now. Lorelie is only ten, so the family is waiting to see if she will get her Hogwarts letter.

RP EXAMPLE: ((And Andy)) Rabastan's reply to her annoyed question made Andy raise an eyebrow. "I'm not the one who just dragged someone into an empty classroom, so I reserve that question for me to ask. And get an answer to." She told him, putting her book bag down on the floor and crossing her arms. Something in Rabastan's eyes made Andy uncomfortable and she shifted her weight from her right foot to her left foot as she stood there waiting for an answer. She had been afraid that Rabastan would take the news of her marriage badly, but she attributed it mostly to the fact that Ted was a muggle born. Something about the look in his eyes, though, betrayed that his reaction was more than horror at her marrying below her, but almost resentment that she had married anyone at all. She got the distinct feeling that, even if she had married someone her parents had chosen for her, Rabastan would still be displeased, though less angry.
"Killed him before? I'm afraid I wouldn't have stood for that." Andy commented, giving Rabastan a challenging look, as if daring him to try something. She wasn't going to let anyone ruin what she had just gained for her. And the fact that Rabastan had actually contemplated killing Ted (he never said so out loud, but Andy could tell) made the Gryffindor want to hit Rabastan. Nobody was going to ruin her happiness. Rabastan's reply about the high horse made Andy take a step back and bite her lip to keep from flying at the boy. "High horse? I'm not on any high horse, you're the one who needs to come down to reality. I simply married someone I loved, which in normal society would be perfectly acceptable. It's this little world that you live in and that I used to live in that makes it unacceptable to do anything of the sort. I have done nothing to embarrass myself and I refuse to be made to think so. Nothing you can say will persuade me differently, Rabastan, so stop talking like you're so much better than me and get that stick out of your damn ass." Andy said this through clenched teeth, her brown eyes biting as she spoke. The cursing was not something she normally did, since it was unacceptable in a lady, but she was simply too angry at Rabastan's pompous manner to care.
The fact that Rabastan would even mention screwing her made Andy's blood boil. And on top of that he had to make a comment about Ted. It was too much for Andy to handle and she broke her calm composure. Striding forward, Andy slapped Rabastan as hard as she could. "How dare you talk about me in such a way. I'm still the same person, it's you who are too blind to see it. I won't stand here and listen to you insult what I hold dear." She spat at the Slytherin, her eyes narrowing. As Rabastan began to speak of her missing her family, Andy stood there with an incredulous look on her face. "Miss my family? Do you even know me? For seventeen years I have had to deal with a mother who hated me and resented my existence, a father who resented my gender, and an older sister who also hated me. The only person in my family that I loved is Narcissa and that hasn't changed. So don't you dare talk to me about missing my family, because you of all people should know how I have suffered in that miserable, huge, lonely house!" Andy felt tears brimming in her eyes as she talked of her family. How could he accuse her of such a thing? How could her forget her past with her family, the pain and loneliness she had felt all of her life. It was like he had forgotten all that she was, all that she had ever been.
Why couldn't people see that she was happier now than she had ever been before in her life? "You won't do any such thing, Rabastan Lestrange, because for once in my life I am happy and I won't let some self-absorbed prick try to take that away from me because he wants me for himself. I am not an object to be had! I am a human person with feelings, though I have done the best I can to repress those. I'm done with it, Rabastan. I'm done with all of it. This is my life now, I chose it, and I'm happy with it. Don't you dare try to take that away from me, because it's the first time I've really had it. So you can just go to hell." A tear ran down the brunette's cheek as she yelled at Rabastan, but she refused to break down in front of Rabastan. Not him. Not her childhood friend whom she had watched slip away into darkness. Not ever in front of him. ANSWER: I’ve given so many answers to this. The whole book was a surprise. xD I mean, no Hogwarts hardly at all! Come one! OTHER:
