{ About The CHARACTER }
x Adèle Carine Beauviller "Dele"
CANNON OR ORIGINAL: Original… YEAR: 6th AGE: 17 DOB: November 1st RACE: Caucasian (French) GENDER: female SEXUALITY: heterosexual WAND: Myrtle, 12 ½ inches, powdered dragon scale core. Good for healing spells and esthetic charms. BROOM: French made broom- Airesbon PET:An almost silver owl named Boure.
APPEARANCE: Adele is tiny, to say the least. Often when people are asked to describe her, they use the word “waif”- and that isn’t far off. She is not much taller than 5’5” and only weighs about 110 pounds. Her arms are skinny, her legs are skinny- and yet she does not seem unhealthy, only a tad bit on the sickly side if one only glanced at her. Her small frame is nevertheless carried with an almost airy grace- and combine that with the generally faraway look on her face, she has been called ethereal many a time.
Her grey-blue eyes are large and doll-like, taking up much of her face. Her lips are small and delicate, along with the rest of her facial features. She is pretty, and some would even go so far as to call her beautiful. Her skin is utterly flawless, and she never went through any sort of awkward phase. She just bloomed into her beauty.
Due to her upbringing, Adele’s fashion sense is far more developed then most girls her age- all of her clothes are either designed specifically for her dainty body by her mother, or were purchased from the most up and coming boutiques in Wizarding France, where her mother grew up. She rather despises her school uniform, despite it being custom made for her also- honestly, plaid?- and changes out of it and into what she considers casual wear. Linen slacks, Egyptian cotton blouses, silk skirts. She does not even own a pair of sweat pants or those abominable things muggles call “jeans.” She is extremely posh, and to be honest, the most casual thing she owns is a few pairs of rather pricey clogs. FACE CLAIM: Heather Marks
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Adele was raised in a traditional pureblood family- but the French wizarding aristocracy differs in many extreme ways from their British counterparts. She is a proud person, but she does not carry any of the prejudices towards muggleborns or half-blood wizards that the powerhouse British families do. Sure, she doesn’t usually associate with them, but she doesn’t associate with anyone really- she is quite aloof. This, perhaps is a habit developed from people’s reactions when she says her last name- oh, you’re THAT Beauviller? Can your mother design me something?-She is just rather tired of having to tell them that no, unless they plan on paying the normal fees for their design that people outside the family pay. She simply does not associate with anyone but her closest friends, of whom she has few, and can sometimes come off as cold.
That being said, the people close to her know her as a delicate, sweet person. Cares for the people she lets into her life and is always the soft-spoken one in the relationship. Because of her gentle demeanor, she tends to be taken up by people (especially men) who have a pathological need to protect. She doesn’t really need to be protected, but she does not begrudge them that right. She often feels very comforted when she’s with that sort of person as well. Her life just seems to run better that way.
She is not very romantic. In fact, she is almost unfailingly practical and down-to-earth- a product of being her mother’s daughter. The older woman raised her without any fantasies or rose colored glasses, and after a few summers of working in the retail shop of her mother’s fasion design company, she knows people very well. She is, in essence, a practical rich girl.
In the matters of school, Adele is not particularly bookish. She passes all of her classes with very little seeming effort. She enjoys reading quite a bit, but she would much rather be doing something else- like playing her harp. She began playing the large, unwieldy, but utterly beautiful instrument at a very young age, when her mother’s piano player saw the little girl staring in awe at the golden arches of the decorative harp she had in her home. Adele is now quite adept, and one of the forms the room of requirement takes for her is a plush, red music room with a copy of Adele’s own harp in it. She often goes off to play it when she is unable to sleep or when school work has her stressed out.
BOGGART: kippers. She has a strange pathological fear of dead fish with the head still on. PATRONUS: Crane HOPES FOR THE FUTURE:She doesn’t really need a job- her mother is still fairly young and due to her father’s thrifty investing, the family will never be wanting for anything for at least three generations more.
SPECIAL ABILITIES:other then playing her harp, none. BLOOD: pure BIRTHPLACE: Paris, France MY FAMILY: Sebastien Beauviller (Father, 38) Ardienne Beaviller (nee Marsche)(Mother, 37) WHATS IN THE PAST: Ardienne was born into a pureblood, but utterly unremarkable family in France. She attended Beauxbatons, and while there, her artistic ability grew and it was found that she had an utter knack for designing clothing. She never wore a single gown to a ball there that wasn’t of her own make or design, and by her final year of schooling, ball-times were hectic and yet profitable- she was gaining money by designing dresses for not only her friends, but also the elite class at the school. It was through this that she met Sebastien- he was the twin brother of one of her most frequent clients. Eventually the two of them fell in love, and by the time he was twenty two and she was twenty one, they had both managed to build her a company designing not only ball gowns for the up and coming Parisian, they also began designing tuxedos and more casual clothing.
Just as her company was coming into the limelight and Sebastien had built their fortune to the point where they could carouse with the richest people in the Wizarding community, Ardienne discovered herself pregnant with her first (and only) child. On the day of Adele’s birth, the company went global, shipping to both royalty and purebloods all over the world, particularly England, Scotland, and the United States. Eventually, the family moved the base of its business to London, where they were making the most money. This was where Adele grew up and into her own.
She was always a beautiful baby, and simply the fact that she existed gained her family more money. Her mother couldn’t stand the baby fashions on the market and began designing her daughter clothing that was then mass-produced and sold across the world. This proceeded to the present day, with Adele being the model for most of her mother’s new designs. Despite this, she grew up a fairly normal child (well, as normal as a child of a rich family can be). At the age of Eleven, she received both an acceptance letter to Hogwarts and Beauxbatons- but she had fallen in love with the English countryside and decided to stay with her parents.

RP EXAMPLE: (as Gloria) Gloria simply nodded rather sheepishly as Julian chastised her rather defensively about his Grandma, telling her again that his Grandma wouldn't know if he had visited her or not. Gloria really didn't want to make him angry, especially if he was going to leave-
As he almost did when she raised her eyebrow out of habit. Immediately, she raised her hand to her eyebrow and pulled the offending bit of her face down back into place and held it there for a second, thinking this would appease him. But the boy's next comment made her twist up her face in a rather offended look. She leaned back on her pillow and turned her face away, muttering, "Well if you're not going to be nice..." But she couldn't finish that sentence because she was interrupted by another tirade of Julian's, this one making her normally tan face take on an almost sickly hue. "They...jelly?" Her voice squeaked and it was, perhaps, that sound that caused her to stop talking and not argue with the boy who was taking his time to visit her instead of sitting my his vegetable of a Grandma.
Perhaps. Because at the moment she decided to stop talking, he had taken her chilly hands in his own and she was so surprised by this that she simply fell silent and looked at the boy for a second before he comprehended what he said. Brave? Her? "I'm not brave, don't be silly..." Gloria murmured, averting her eyes for a second in order to think more clearly. The fact that he was closer to her, touching her, did nothing to help her clarity of mind. "But I guess I will hush because my legs look like ground meat and, for once, do not have the energy to have a rollicking argument with you." A brief, near invisible smile graced her lips and she looked back towards him shortly before he reached for her hair.
Obediently, she turned her head so he could twist her hair back into a bun. Remembering his irritation at her eyebrow raise earlier, she took advantage of the fact that he had released her hands to put them up to her brown and make sure her usually quirked eyebrow was firmly in place. As he finished and stuck the pen back into her hair, she quickly put her hands down with a bit of a sheepish look on her face. "Er. Thanks." He took her hands again, surprising her just as much as the first time, though that is not to say she was unappreciative. He was quite warm.
But he picked up her conversation thread, and she went along gamely. "They all think I'm a good dancer...I'm not the best, but I guess you're your own worst critic like they say." She gave a tiny shrug of her shoulders and tried not to stick her tongue out childishly at Julian and that darned way he had looked at her. Unable to control her mouth, though, a corner of her mouth turned up and she responded. "Oh really? Healer's usually have a knack for bedside manner, though you seem to be getting better and better as this visit goes on." She chuckles softly, almost to herself. At least she was kind of getting her sense of humor back. ANSWER: TEDDDDDD *sob* OTHER:
