{ About The CHARACTER }
x Lady Catherine Helene Marie Windsor of Kent"Cat"
CANNON OR ORIGINAL:original YEAR:6th AGE:16 DOB: October 4 1961 RACE: anglo-saxon GENDER: female SEXUALITY: hetero WAND: 11 inches phoenix feather core BROOM: nimbus PET:a barnowl named Arthur
APPEARANCE: Catherine has long, dark brown hair. It falls mostly straight over her shoulders to the ends of her shoulder blades. Though it is thick, her hair is fairly easy to style. It is a lighter shade of brown in the summer months after exposure to the sun. During the winter monthes, the color is a much richer shade of chocolate.
Her eyes are milk chocolate to her hair's dark chocolate. They are a warm brown. However, don't think they automatically make her friendly. The reason some may say that her nose is upturned has nothing to do with the actual shape of her nose, which is straight. It cuts evenly down the center of her face and is her mouth. When Catherine smiles or laughs, her top lip shrinks. sometimes it even disappears.
Dark hair and dark eyes are set off by pale skin. Though at the start of term Cat occasionally has a tan, it fades quickly. This is not to say Cat's skin is an unnatural or unhealthy shade, it simply is lighter than most other people's.
The brunette saids at a height of 5 feet 8 inches, and she is of a slender build. Catherine is an experienced dancer and is good at polo but only has above average muscle tone. Her strength does not surprise many, she is only slightly stronger than she appears.
She carries herself proudly, she is royalty after all, whether she is directly in line for the throne or not. There is the smallest hint of arrogance about the way Cat carries herself. Her upbringin required standing straight, shoulders back, carring oneself properly, etc.
FACE CLAIM:Anne Hathaway
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Many people consider Catherine to be arrogant. She is but, only to people that she does not know well. She was brought up to think that one must always act properly and with dignaty. Though the Wizarding Communitity does not care as much for the Crown as the rest of England, the habit is hard to break.
Catherine doesn't trust people easily. She fears being used by people because of her position. It is likely that many at Hogwarts could care less about her family, but she believes that they, her family are important. Therefore she is cautious about trusting others.
Still, once she is your friend she is the best friend you could have. Catherine is loyal, intelligent and funny. She has a sharp sense wit which she does not use sparingly. She has a sarcastic sense of humor and a stinging tongue. Both she uses often. Catherine's pride doesn't allow her to take crap from people. Unfortunately, to seem well manered, often she can't insult people directly. That's where her sharp wit and cunning come in handy.
Still, she doesn't insult her friends and she will defend them from anything or anyone. Catherine has never backed down from anything. If it appears she is backing down, don't be fooled. With a political family, one learns all about how to indirectly hurt a person. Catherine can be sneaky when she needs to be.
Her other side, the side few see is much less harsh. She cares about the British people and wants to help others. People know about her volunteer work but many think it is simply for public image. The British press believes Catherine to be attending a super- elite Prep school for gifted children. When she is out in the public eye, they try to get as much information about the heir as they can. Still, Cat doesn't let it get in her way. For her, it is much easier to show her kind side to people that she will never see again.
Her love of helping people is why she wants to intergrate magical cures into muggle medicine. Muggle health care would increase in quality a great deal with a few potions. When she leaves school, her goal is to find a way to work potions into modern medicine.
The lesser of her goals is to marry her own Prince Charming. Despite a hard exterior, Cat is a bit of a romantic. She believes the boy asks out the girl, holds open doors, is a proper gentlemen.
BOGGART: Iron Maidens PATRONUS: lion HOPES FOR THE FUTURE:She would like to integrate magical cures into muggle hospitals and marry Prince Charming.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: none BLOOD: muggleborn BIRTHPLACE: London, England MY FAMILY: Prince Edward George Nicholas Patrick Paul Windsor born 9 October 1935; member of the British Royal Family; Duke of Kent
Katharine Lucy Mary Windsor (née Worsley) born 22 February 1933; Duchess of Kent
George Philip Nicholas Windsor born 26 June 1962, Earl of St. Andrews, born 1 month premature
Lady Helen Windsor born 28 April 1964,
Lord Nicholas Windsor born 25 July 1970
WHATS IN THE PAST: Catherine Helene Marie Windsor was born on October 4th, 1961 to the Duke and Duchess of Kent. Queen Elizabeth II is her father's cousin. The media believes Catherine was born two months premature. However, the truth is that she was conceived prior to her parents?marriage. Her brother, George however, was born one month premature, born 8 months after Catherine.
At a young age, Catherine showed signs of possessing abilities far beyond that of a normal baby. The Prime Minister, being in contact with the Minister of Magic, was able to gather what the problem was. Catherine was a witch. Her parents shielded her from the public eye as best they could. They even went as far as to shield her from some family members. They claimed that as a result of being premature, she was frailer as a child. For the most part, nothing ever happened but, occasionally Cat would have an 'accident'; she would make something an odd color or perform some other magic unwittingly.
She spent the first 11 years of her life keeping must things quiet and simply learning about the 'proper' way to do things, say things. She honed her wit over the years but, it also made her untrusting. She could never tell people the truth about what she was.
When she got her Hogwarts letter, her parents claimed she was attending an elite Prep School for gifted children. It wasn't that much of a stretch; many family members knew Catherine was very intelligent. At Hogwarts, Catherine discovered a number of new things; quidditch being one of them. Though Catherine enjoys watching games, she would never be good enough to play on her house team. Practicing flying on Royal grounds would not go over well. Instead, she spends summers playing polo, plain horseback riding and dancing. She practices magic but, it is done secretly.
In her third year, Catherine looked into her family history to see if there was some connection to magic in her history. It was easy to look into the history of her father’s side of the family; there was plenty of documentation there. She spent most of her third year checking for hidden connections to magic in that side of her family tree. After many hours and hundreds of years of history sifted through, Catherine decided to explore her mother’s family. In the beginning of her fourth year, she found more promising results. Her mother’s great however many times removed aunt had been burned as a witch in Scotland. The relation had been distant enough as to not cause a problem when her parents got married. The aunt had been burned in the 16th century and had not caused a stir in the modern world. However, the connection was there. Upon further research, Catherine found record of the Aunt at Hogwarts. Since then, Catherine has presumed this relation was the source of her magical abilities.

RP EXAMPLE: Kayleigh's grin widened as the Professor shook her hand. Apparently he had heard about her from Gair. She faked a wince at his tone when he emphasized the 'you're'. "If Gair's told you about the team then I'm sure you've only heard good things about me." she laughed. "Of course, I don't need to hear all about you from anyone else. I will say that I was absolutly thrilled when you switched from the Russian team to the Irish. It was the topic of many dinner discussions my family. We think you clicked in better with the Irish than you did the Russians though; you played well for them too." Kay told him.
Her grin flashed again as he chuckled at her Gaelic. Either he understood it or other members of the Irish team had used it enough, probably in swears, to get him accustomed to it. Kay didn't get the chance to ask him more about it because she caught sight of London showing off. When her friend fell, Kayleigh realized that London must not have known yet who their teacher happened to be. It was no secret to Kayleigh or any of the other girls that their was a picture of Mikhail Callaghan over London's bed.
The blonde chuckled at her friend while she jogged over with Professor Callaghan. It would take more than that fall do do any real damage to London Kale. "I've seen you have better ones." Kay teased in response to London's question over the quality of her fall. It was a typical London question. "And not embarassing in the slightest. I'm sure the professor here will 'ave us falling off our brooms loads of times by the end of the year. What fun would it be if we only worked on what we were already perfect at?" Kay said to London and turned to face Mikhail again. "I'll bet by the end of the year even I'll fall off a time or two if you're doing your job right." she told him with a wink.
Kay left it to London to confirm her house. It seemed that he already knew alot about the Gryffindor team. Though Kay was tempted to ask him to help them practice, she knew it would be unfair for the ref tohelp a team work out plays and such. It definetly would benefit the team to have him as teacher. And, with the skill levels of other temas heightened, it would guarentee better games. Kayleigh could hardly wait to get started.

Alright... so I really have no idea where to sort her. She's another 'enemy of the sorting hat' it seems to me. So, I'm going to cast a neutral vote for Hufflepuff-Gryffindor, although the other two are strangely close. So, I'll make up my mind if need be, but for now.... ACCEPTED BY SAM Hufflepuff or Gryffindor

Well, my choices are between Gryffindor and Slytherin. Because of the muggle-born thing, I'm going to say Gryffindor, since Slytherin is pretty picky about pure-bloods. I mean, there are some half-bloods but yeah. Hm.... I see what you mean, Penny. I changed my mind, now that I've thought it over more... I didn't really like her in Gryffindor that much anyway, it just seemed better than Slytherin. Ravenclaw it is, then.

I am stumped, too. I see her as a RAVENCLAW.
I see all these traits as belonging to either Ravenclaw or Slytherin, and to me they knock out the possibility of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, members of whom tend to be less shrewd and more 'open', if you know what I mean. Still, she seems too nice for Slytherin, so I'm going to stick with Ravenclaw.
I'll go with whatever everyone else decides though. ACCEPTED BY PENNY
