APPEARANCE:
Alice believes she is a very plain girl, and in many ways she is. She has plain brown hair that is neither particularly straight nor extremely curly; in fact it seems to do whatever it wants most days. Her hair grows fast, but it usually doesn’t get a few inches past her shoulder before she cuts it again. Her hair isn’t distinctive in any way. She also has plain brown eyes, which again aren’t really distinctive in a crowd. She isn’t tall, but she isn’t short either. She’s not a stick, and she’s not overweight. Alice has extremely average features, and the brunette detests this. She feels she has gotten every dominant trait in the world, and she’s pretty much right.

Despite her average features though, the brunette is far from just another face in the crowd when it comes to the way she acts. She has an extremely expressive face. You can always tell exactly how she feels just by looking at her. This is usually good because normally she just looks extremely happy. She’s nearly always smiling, and that alone can make your day feel better sometimes. She has a very kind look to her, and while some people see her as ordinary, some see her as beautiful simply because of the way she acts.

Alice also likes to make her own clothes. She’s been sewing since she was little, and when she’s not in her school uniform she’ll often be found in a dress she made herself, or muggle clothes that she’s added her own flair too. The clothes are more often then not in her school colors as she is very school-spirited. She’s also rather fond of gum, and when it’s not prohibited she can usually be found chewing a piece of Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum. She’s completely uncoordinated, and she’s known for tripping over air quite often.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:
Alice is a very sweet and friendly girl. The brunette always has a smile on her face, and she’s usually bound to burst out laughing at any second. (Though rarely at someone, rather with them.) She’s constantly making new friends, and she’s fiercely loyal to those she already has. People often go to Alice with problems and she’s been told it’s because she’s ‘approachable.’

Alice also has a rather motherly nature, which is perhaps what makes her so approachable. She’ll always listen to your problem no matter how insignificant and show the right sympathy or give the right advice. She even has a few ‘motherly’ hobbies such as sewing and cooking. She also feels the need to care for younger students or even her own peers. She’s the one who will make sure you’re eating (and not just junk), sleeping enough, not blowing off your school work too much, or just that you wear a jacket when it’s cold. (Not that her friends always listen to her, but it doesn’t stop her from nagging them!) She’s jokingly been called ‘Mum’ more than once. One day she really will make a great mother. (This is one of her goals for the future.)

Branching off from that is her protective side. Most people wouldn’t expect this plain, friendly girl to be brave, but Alice certainly is when it comes to protecting those she cares about, or even people who need her help. There is nothing Alice hates more than people who pick on others just because they can, or they believe they’re better than them. Most don’t expect her to be good at defensive spells (unless they’re in her DADA class) but she certainly is. (She even got an Outstanding on her DADA OWL.) She’s also fiercely loyal to her friends and family, and would rather die than betray someone.

Another little tidbit is that Alice has enough house pride to rival that of a Slytherin. When not in uniform, the girl can usually be found in her house colors. (Usually things she made herself.) She’d go to great lengths to help her house when the cup as long as she wasn’t cheating or hurting anyone else. She has quite the knack for Herbology having spent a lot of time in her parents’ garden as a child which became her own. She likes to sew and makes a lot of her own clothes. She also loves cooking, and can often be found in the kitchens.

She’s also fiercely stubborn, a trait she inherited from both of her parents. If Alice believes something or is determined to do/ not to do something, there is no changing her mind. This includes her opinion of herself. While Alice is usually optimistic to others, she’s terribly pessimistic about herself. She believes she is completely plain, and ordinary in every single way. She’s not extremely bright, none of her features stand out (see appearance for more on that), and she has possibly the dullest name on the face of the earth. She doesn’t believe that a guy could possibly be interested in her, but she tries not to let it bother her too much. She figures she’ll find someone someday. She does have faith in her abilities in magic and believes that she really is a good person which is of some comfort to her. She hopes that if she achieves her dream of being an Auror, possibly that would help her stand out more from the crowd. (Though that’s not why she wants to do it.)

Renesha “Ren” Logan [maiden name: Rathejen]

WHATS IN THE PAST:
Nathan Logan and Renesha “Ren” Rathejenn were in the same year at Hogwarts, but they didn’t really meet until the summer before their seventh year. Nathan was a stubborn, slightly cocky, Ravenclaw who was more focused on becoming an Auror then on carrying on his family line. He was the only child, and his mother desperately wanted to have grandchildren before she died. Ren Rathejen was a stubborn, independent Gryffindor. She didn’t believe that just because she was a woman she should have to get married as soon as possible and start a family, and stay at home. She refused to go to any of the ‘coming out’ balls her mother asked her to go to, or allow her parents to throw her a ‘coming of age’ party as was common then. Nathan and Ren’s fathers worked in the Ministry of Magic together, and their mothers ran in the same social circle. When the Logans threw a ball, Ren was unwillingly dragged along. Nathan had been forced to attend too, and the two met. They danced together once. Then they snuck out together and went to a bar in their formal wear. Their mothers were furious, but the two had a grand time. Before the end of the summer they were dating, and not too long after that they were in love. They fought a lot, but that was just because they were both ridiculously stubborn. They always made-up eventually.

One day in the middle of a fight, Nathan proposed. Ren was actually shocked into silence for a moment. After a moments thought, the Gryffindor accepted, and the two began their fight again. Their mothers were thrilled when they told them over Easter break. Ren’s mother accidentally let it slip that the whole ball had been a set-up for the two. Ren was furious. She detested anything that even resembled an arranged marriage. She began to doubt that she was really in love with Nathan. When they got back to school, she approached him with this, and the two got into a huge fight, and broke up. After graduation the two went their separate ways. Nathan became an Auror like he had wanted, and Ren remained independent and actually became a Curse Breaker for Gringotts.

It was nearly fifteen years after graduation before the two ran into each other again. Suddenly the old chemistry was back, and they slipped right back where it had been left off. They were both a little bit less stubborn, but they still fought occasionally. They probably wouldn’t be happy if they didn’t. They married less than a year after they met again. It wasn’t another seven years though before they finally had Alice, and after that Ren couldn’t have any more children. Ren had always detested her strange name, so she ‘blessed’ her child with a completely normal name which ironically Alice hates. They always say you want what you don’t have.

When Alice was a child she spent a lot of time in her parents’ greenhouse, and new quite a bit about plants before she even started Hogwarts. Alice was lonely as an only child, but she still had her parents who were both never too ‘grown up’ to play Alice’s silly little games. She’s very close to her parents. They’re the only family she has since all of her grandparents died before she was five. (Yes, Ren’s mother did get to see her granddaughter.) Her father also taught her how to defend herself. Alice was so interested in what her father did, that at a young age her dream to be an Auror just like him began. Ren never forced Alice to do ‘girly things’ like sewing or cooking, but unlike her mother, Alice enjoyed doing these things quite a bit. (The house elf taught her, Ren is a terrible cook, and has never sewed a thing in her life.) Alice also inherited her parents’ stubborn streak.

Alexandria Perret was out and about. It was the middle of the day and the sun was out and shining. She had been wondering for who knows how long. She was thinking about everything. She was thinking about NEWTs, her future, her friends, and... Sirius. She couldn't believe that it was almost over. Her time at Hogwarts would be over in two short months and she'd be out in the real world. She had no idea what she was going to do. She wanted to travel for a year, but the thought of traveling alone was kind of scary. Then she knew she wanted to right... but what if she wasn't a good writer? What if she couldn't right a successful book? What would she do then. She laughed at herself. She was a Ravenclaw. She had planned this out long ago. She would open a bookstore. She was being silly. Just getting nervous about graduation.

She hadn't been paying attention to where she was going. A large breeze flew through and got her attention. She looked around to see where she was. The place was secluded. It looked familiar. She gasped when she realized where she was. It was their place. The place she used to go to all the time with Lisette. They had found the place in first year when they were out walking. It was where they always went to have just Lisette and Lexy time. They hadn't told any of their other friends. They loved all their other friends of course, but to have a place that was just theirs was something special. She looked and saw the tree. The tree that they had made the secret, well hidden, tree house. She climbed up the notches in the tree and entered the tree house. It was a small tree house, but it was big enough for two. She looked on the wall and saw the first picture ever taken of the two of them. She grinned. They looked so young and happy. She missed those innocent years.

She looked around at all the pictures and stuff on the wall. They used to spend so much time in here together. It had been about a year probably since they were even in here.

Suddenly she heard someone coming up the stairs. Who on earth could it be? No one else knew about the place. She waited anxiously for the person to come out wand up prepared for the worst.

ANSWER: Neville was freaking amazing in this book! I just think that needed to be stated since it’s usually the negative stuff that’s said. xD
