{ About The CHARACTER }
x Ayrle Robert Woodward (Arr-lee)"Relly"
CANNON OR ORIGINAL: Original YEAR: 1st AGE: 11 DOB: October 20th RACE: Wizard GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Heterosexual WAND: Phoenix feather, 9”, Maple, Stiff BROOM: n/a PET: He had to leave Toby, his pet terrier at home.
APPEARANCE: Ayrle is possibly the smallest boy in Hogwarts, barely reaching the chest of even the shortest seventh year at 4’9” tall with a slim, boyish frame. He’s pale with a redhead’s complexion and about a million freckles all over his round face and body. Warm brown eyes peer around from under the moppy ginger curtain, taking in his surroundings with wide-eyed interest and sincerity. He has a gapped-tooth smile that crinkles his freckled nose and the corners of his eyes. Kind of a cutie in a very little-brother way. His mother bought his uniform to fit loose on his frame to ensure growing room throughout the year. Consequentially, they’re a little baggy and seem to make him look even smaller than he is. He also had her teach him how to tie his tie, even though it’s a standard length that is very long on him. So he can put together his uniform just fine, and tries to keep it clean. During down-time he likes to dress in his muggle clothes because it makes him feel a little less homesick.
FACE CLAIM: Dean Collins
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: This first year is balancing on the fine line between childhood and maturity, bringing more awareness into what was once a very sheltered, young world. Ayrle still acts very young and is highly impressionable as he unintentionally watches everyone else and how they act. He is prone to looking up to his peers, and picking out people some days that he wants to imitate and learn from. Some would think he would look up to his older brother, but the reality is Junior picks on him relentlessly. Ayrle refuses to look up to a bully. A symptom of his brother’s teasing is Ayrle’s shy and timid behavior. Not to say he’s a nervous wreck, but blushing seems to be a permanent fixture on his face and his ears. When confronted and teased, he tends to stutter and babble out like a startled mouse. He’s really sweet though and very helpful when he can because it instills a sense of usefulness in him. Ayrle is also very dependable and responsible for his age. If given a task there would be no concern about it being done and he does all his homework. He presents eagerness while not being excitable and some of the older students might find him either annoying or easy to deal with. Ayrle isn’t a great student, but does well enough. He’s really just average on all sides; he’s a good kid, doesn’t exceed at any academics or sports (that he knows of), and only has one talent to speak of. He’s not very outgoing, but the friends he does have he remains loyal to. That, and he’s a bit of a klutz but thankfully only when he’s running or distracted. This new world is fascinating to him as he still doesn’t know very much about it. Mostly he just blends with the others while sticking out like a sore thumb. Like the others he’s still very young, but looking at things with too much wonder to be from the wizarding world. Just looking at him in a crowd is enough to label him a muggle-born. He’s just a gentle kid who wants to find his place in new surroundings.
BOGGART: Absolute darkness PATRONUS: Lemur HOPES FOR THE FUTURE: How should he know? He’s eleven and still misses him mom.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: He does have a certain talent for art. Realistic and cartoon sketches, colored pictures, even painting he can do rather well. BLOOD: Muggle-born BIRTHPLACE: Britain MY FAMILY: William : Father [32] Marie : Mother [31] William Jr. : Big brother [13] WHATS IN THE PAST: His parents were young when they had their first child and after Junior was born, they were married. Luckily for the family of three, William Sr.’s father owned a fairly successful shipping company and was willing to make his son partner. Financially stable, another two years went by before they had their second son, Ayrle. They were a comfortable family; Marie stayed home to watch the boys and William worked at the company, sometimes bringing his older son along to tend to the business. When home alone with his mother, they would sit together and draw, or paint, or make things from paper. Ayrle liked these times best. He started going to school and did fine until strange things started happening around him. When the class hamster died and Ayrle was upset, all the lights in the school flickered and a blackout occurred. Balls that hit him during dodgeball suddenly exploded, the chalkboards suddenly cleaned themselves, and kids who teased people ended up with rashes on their necks. This isolated him, and his brother didn’t help the situation. He never got a rash, though. When he was eleven, a mysterious letter came by owl telling him about a school called ‘Hogwarts’. It told him of the date when a Ms. McGonagall would arrive, and all these mysterious books he would need. On the day designated in the letter, McGonagall came to the house and explained what he was, and why strange things always seemed to happen around him. At first William Sr. declared his son would not go, but Marie decided that it was best. There were mysterious happenings at home as well, and though this would be a good opportunity for her youngest son to make his own path with people like him. Not live in his big brother’s shadow. With his mother he went to Diagon Ally where they went through the list of things to buy, using the instructions and conversions that were given to them. His mother saw the owls in the windows and the brooms in the stores, and asked her son to investigate these things while at the school, and maybe next year they could look into getting him his own. The day came for the Hogwarts Express arrived, and with his entire family (he was glad his dad was there to see him off) went through the pillar to Platform 9 and three quarters where he boarded the train and left the muggle world.

RP EXAMPLE: "Mom, you promise..." The little boy held the squirming Scottish terrier closer to his chest as the black beast wriggled to lick his face. "You promise you'll look after Toby? And... Won't let Will feed him to his snake?" His brown eyes seemed to grow large and sorrowful, just thinking about Will's giant snake eating his beloved puppy. The entire family was standing on the platform, though his father and brother were busy 'people watching.' His father was disturbed by the strange clothes they had to wear, and his brother was hell bent intent on seeing some magic while he was there. If he couldn't tell anyone about it, he might as well get to see!
"Where did you..." Marie trailed off, realizing that her eldest had taunted Ayrle again. The red-headed woman smiled tenderly and wrapped her very little boy into her embrace. "Don't worry about a thing, sweetheart. If he even tries, I'll just get rid of the snake. I've never liked it, anyway."
Ayrle held his dog at arm's length, looking at him seriously. "You be good, and don't miss me too much, okay?" The black furry thing wriggled in his hands and yapped at him. See, Toby was the perfect size as the runt of his littler, just like how Ayrle felt sometimes. He held the puppy against him tightly before handing him up to his mom. Behind them, the train's whistle blew.
"We'd better get you on board. Try to write as often as you can, okay?" Marie stroked her hand through her son's soft hair and kissed his forehead.
"'kay mom..." Ayrle took a deep breath to prepare himself and boarded the train.
ANSWER: Tonks' death! My heart just about broke and I almost starting crying like a freakin' baby! OTHER:
