Harry,Ron, and Hermione have entered their sixth year at Hogwarts. After last year's showdown at the Ministry, the wizarding world is swirling down to chaos. Cornelius Fudge has finally resigned from Minister of Magic with former Head Auror Rufus Scrimoguer filling his shoes. Now with a new head at Ministry, hopes are running high. But high hopes are quickly vanished when the Voldemort and his deatheaters make their move. And it's not directed toward the Ministry but at Hogwarts.
The once safe haven is now suddenly becoming unsafe. The students continue to walk the halls though, feeling safe and secure under the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. Everyone knows that Voldemort fears Dumbledore and won't attack Hogwarts while he's there. Now the only way to get inside of Hogwarts is to remove the headmaster. The duty has been passed down to Draco Malfoy. His mission: to kill Dumbledore. Will he be able to do it? But with the deatheaters trying to gain control of Hogwarts, it leaves no time to tell Harry Potter and his best friends the secrets of the horcruxes. Now they are forced to learn from the Order the key to Voldemort's defeat. Can they go through with it or will the truth only pull them apart?
There are other things that the students have to worry about though than Voldemort. Love and lies are in the air. Draco has much more on his shoulders than worrying about how he's going to kill Dumbledore. He is currently dating Pansy Parkinson but behind her back, he is seeing the lovely Gryffindor Lavender Brown. Lavendar seems to have a history that none of the Gryffindors know about and she's using it to her own advantage when she goes out with Ron Weasley. But when you're dating two boys at once and betrothed to Theodore Nott, things could get a little hectic. Especially if Nott is dating Daphne Greengrass. Who will Draco choose: Pansy or Lavendar.
And will Nott fight for his family and follow their orders? Or go his own way? All the while the one person that Draco thought he could trust, Goyle, is pulling the strings to steal his rightful position. Is is gluttony or another deadly sin?
