{ About The CHARACTER }
x Sirius Orion Black III"Padfoot"
CANNON OR ORIGINAL: Cannon YEAR: 17 AGE: 7th DOB: August 16, 1959 RACE: Caucasian GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Heterosexual WAND: 9" Black Maple Phoenix feather BROOM: Comet 150 PET: A black owl named Beauregard
APPEARANCE: Sirius is in one word, handsome. If there's nothing else to say about him, he at least has that. His dark hair is long and shaggy, falling to just below his eyes. Because of this he has a habit of swinging his head back in an attempt to keep the hair out of his eyes. The eyes beneath his dark brown hair are a cool grey and he can make most girls swoon just by giving them one glance. He certainly knows this and is prone to walking around with a self-important smirk on his face. Sirius's features are strong, handsome, and almost perfect. He has the traditional Black looks: extremely good-looking and haughty. He has a habit of using his looks to get what he wants, especially with girls. His smile has the ability to level members of the opposite sex and make friends with those of his own. Sirius is rather tall, standing at about 6 feet, another trait of the Black family. His skin is slightly tanned, though definitely pale enough to show that he is a member of the Black family. Though Sirius isn't as built as some boys are, he definitely hold his own with a pair of six packs. He loves to play quidditch, and he also works out in order to keep himself fit. All in all, Sirius is definitely not lacking in the looks area.
While classes are in session, Sirius wears his school robes. Though his clothes are not wrinkled or messy, they have that appearance. He enjoys wearing his tie slightly undone, his shirt out, and his robes unfastened. When the teachers get on to him, he adopts a bored expression and fixes everything. However, it doesn't stay this way for long as he soon makes his school robes much more comfortable. When not in class Sirius normally wears blue jeans, t-shirts, and casual button up shirts. His style successfully manages to combine the 'put together' look and the 'messy look' in a way no one but Sirius could possibly manage. FACE CLAIM: Ole Sorensen
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Sirius is rather a cheeky lad. Like his cousin Andromeda, he has an extremely quick wit and enjoys smarting off. This wit makes him extremely popular among the student body of Hogwarts, though makes him a little less popular among the teachers. He is extremely brave and loyal and will fight to the death to protect his friends. He's extremely bright and talented, though he has a habit of goofing off and not doing as well in classes as he could. Sirius's cheek is one of his most distinctive and he uses it both to gain him more popularity and make certain enemies. People like Severus Snape fall into the latter category, as Sirius makes constant fun of him. He also uses his gift of practical jokes to pull stunts that some people see as not quite so harmless. Needless to say, Sirius is a very talented practical joker. Teachers know him as a trouble-maker, but students know him as 'that guy who does those absolutely brilliant jokes'. He, along with James, have pulled some of the best stunts in Hogwarts history and he's rather proud of the fact.
That's another thing about Sirius. Though he despises his family for their proud boast of family blood-line, Sirius is himself an extremely proud person. He knows he's good looking, funny, and brilliant and doesn't mind letting people know about it all. While this doesn't bother the majority of the students, it has made him some enemies around the castle. Sirius also has a dark side to him. His temper is quick and he often loses control when angered. Andromeda has mentioned the fact that if Sirius had made friends with the kinds of people Bellatrix made friends with, he might have ended up on the same road she did. Though Andromeda admitted that he wouldn't be as bad, she was probably right. Sirius has many of the Black family traits, try as he might to deny it. However, he has mostly stayed on the straight path and been mostly a good person who proves true not to follow in his family's footsteps. BOGGART: His friends hurt because of something he did, or because of his family PATRONUS: A big black dog. HOPES FOR THE FUTURE: He's not quite sure. He'll probably get some kind of job, but he's just not sure what kind. In the near future, he figures that his own apartment might be nice, so he'll use the money his uncle gave him and buy one. He'll also try and apply to wait tables at the Leaky Cauldron until he can figure out a job that he would enjoy.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: He's an unregistered Animagus BLOOD: Pure BIRTHPLACE: London, England MY FAMILY: * Walburga Black (mother)† * Orion Black (father)† * Regulus Black (brother)† * Bellatrix Black (first cousin)† * Andromeda Black (first cousin) * Narcissa Black(first cousin) * Pollux Black (grandfather) * Irma Crabbe (grandmother) * Arcturus Black II (grandfather) * Melania Macmillan (grandmother) * Alphard Black (uncle) * Elladora Black (aunt) * Druella Rosier (aunt) * Cygnus Black (uncle) * Lucretia Black (aunt) * Ignatius Prewett (uncle) * Phineas Nigellus Black (great-great grandfather)†
WHATS IN THE PAST: Sirius was born into the most noble and ancient house of Black. This being said, he was basically raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. His family is one of the richest and most important families in the wizarding world. There is almost a thousand years of magic in his blood and he was taught from quite a young age that this made him absolutely better than the majority of people in the world. Though Sirius got everything he wanted, his parents hardly worried themselves with their children. Both parents were far too busy keeping up their social life to worry about raising their children. House elves made sure Sirius and Regulus were taken care of physically, and tutors took care of the boys' minds. However, Sirius and his little brother basically raised themselves. Of course their parents taught them manners and how to be good Black children, but that was simply for family honor. Walburga certainly could have cared less if her boys were happy and well-loves as long as they represented their family well. Orion was hardly ever at home, being very busy with whatever the hell it was he did when he was out of the house. Sirius grew to be very close to his cousins, though Bellatrix and he were never on extremely good terms. Andromeda was his favorite and the two were more like brother and sister than anything else. Indeed, they were the most alike and got along the best.
When Sirius turned eleven he received his Hogwarts letter. Before he left his father called him into his study and impressed upon the boy the importance of upholding the honorable Black image. This was done in part by being sorted into Slytherin, not associating with mudbloods or blood traitors, and showing everyone that he was the best and brightest. Already feeling rebellious, Sirius acted as if he understood perfectly and wouldn't dream of disgracing the family. However, when the sorting hat was placed on him and suggested Gryffindor as a house, Sirius thought 'what the hell' and gladly made his way to his new house, avoiding the glares of Bellatrix, who was sorted into Slytherin. That night he received a howler from his parents and he realized just how much trouble he was in. However, he decided that he was at school and just didn't care, and when he went home he would just avoid his parents.
On the train ride Sirius made friends with a certain James Potter, both sharing a love for cheek and trouble-making. The two became fast friends and soon they added Remus Lupin to the mix. Peter Pettigrew tagged along and the other three tried their best to make him feel as if he belonged. The three four boys grew to be the best of friends and did everything together, though Remus usually hung back during the trouble making. A few years ago the boys discovered the Remus was a werewolf, having been bitten as a child. Deciding that they needed to keep him company during his 'time of the month', they secretly became animaguses and sneaked out every month to go with their best friend. This gave Sirius much excitement and he grew even closer to his friends. They all adopted nicknames and joked with each other constantly using their names. They even called themselves the Marauders and made a special map of Hogwarts for their own personal use and gain.
As time went on, Sirius grew more and more disgusted with his families beliefs. Ever since he had started school he knew that his family was not exactly pleased with him, and this showed more and more and he became more and more rebellious. When he turned sixteen his father told him that he needed to straighten up and start to act like the Black heir. He lost his temper and went off on his father about how ridiculous the families views were and that he owed his family nothing. Realizing that he couldn't live with his family's beliefs and behavior, he ran away and moved in with James. This act resulted in his being disowned from the family and his name being blasted off the family tree. His Uncle Alphard was also blasted off for giving him money.
Sirius is now in his seventh year and still living with James. He isn't sure what he wants to do with his life, but he's confidant that he will find something. At the moment he's more concerned with enjoying his last year at the place that was more of a home than his own home.

RP EXAMPLE: ((using one as Andromeda)) Andromeda let go of her trunk with a thud. Looking at the railings, the brunette contemplated whether to leave her trunk where it was or heft the thing up there. Then an idea hit her. Whipping out her wand, she levitated the trunk up to the railing and nodded in satisfaction. Turning around to shut the door, she hit her elbow on the wall, resulting in some very explicit language to come out of her mouth. Slamming the door shut, the Gryffindor threw herself onto the seat and sighed in frustration. She was extremely eager to get back to Hogwarts... summer with her family had about driven her crazy. There were always parties going on and her mother kept trying to set her up with pure-blood pricks. Of course, Andy had no interest whatsoever in those boys, since she was secretly dating Ted. The thought of Ted made the girl smile a little and she wondered when he would arrive on the train.
Looking out the window, Andy jumped in surprise when she saw her mother still standing on the platform. Her father hadn't even come down the the train station, and the girl was surprised that her mother was still hanging around. Shaking her head, Andy remembered what her mother had said earlier that day. 'Yes, Andromeda just has to get back to being a Gryffindor, doesn't she?'. Andy had responded to this by saying her mother was meaner than usual and if she was sober. At her mother's reply of 'It's 8 in the morning.' the smartass girl just nodded and said, "So it's not that then." resulting in a glare from her alcohol loving mother. Then, grabbing the rest of her bagel, Andy had retreated to her room to finish packing. She just couldn't stand to be around her family any longer. She wanted to be back at Hogwarts with friends and Ted.
With a 'hmph', the middle Black sister slipped her grey shoes off and tucked her feet underneath her. Brushing some hair out of her face, she searched through her book bag until she found a book that caught her attention. The History of Band of Doxies was a book about her favorite wizarding band, and Andy had bought it when she had gone to get school supplies. Not having a chance to read it between then and now, Andy decided to give it a read until something more interesting entered the compartment. After a few pages, the girl became extremely absorbed in the book and didn't hear the compartment door slide open. Turning the page, a movement caught her eye and, looking up, she jumped slightly in surprise when she saw a person standing there. "Thanks for knocking." She stated dryly, though she was smiling happily at the boy. ANSWER: She killed everyone off. Who does that! OTHER:
