"I met Matt wayyy back when he was just a cute, tiny ickle firstie, like myself, only I was way cuter. He was polite though, and we kicked it off with London, talking on the train. I actually had a slight crush on him that first day. But it was just that day. The second day he tripped me out of the Ravenclaw portrait and it was good-bye crush! Anyway, the two of us where placed in the same House and it's been smooth sailing since - you know, when he's not annoying me."

"I first met Matt on the train on the way to Hogwarts. At first he seemed cheeky, and I had to resist the urge to punch him everytime he cracked a joke against me. But I found out about five minutes later that that was just the way he was. Even when we got sorted into different houses I wanted to hang out with him. He was one of the only few who could actually make me laugh the first year. Ever since we've been closer than nothing else. I have to hear his sarcasm everyday. "I swear, Matt is the really really annoying younger brother to me. Sometimes I wish we weren't in the same house and that he didn't know where I slept - and sometimes I wonder why and how exactly he got into Ravenclaw in the first place. But despite all the times he makes fun of me and bothers me when I'm trying to study, I really don't hate him as much as I let on, it's just a running joke. I'll admit that he is smart, he's also a good person and friend - he does know how to lighten my mood up, and I really do value his friendship. I'm just waiting for the day he finally matures and can say something to me without laughing."
