Lily and Lisette met last year, when the two were Prefects. Since Lily had been Prefect the year before, she taught Lisette all she knew. The two quickly hit it off, and became very good friends. They studied together, gossiped together, and hung out together.

Despite the fact that they argue everyday and give the impression that they can't stand each other, James actually really likes Lily and constantly asks her out but gets rejected every time. Its a bit mean really! But now that he is Head Boy could it all change?

When they went to Hogwarts they remained friends, despite the difference in houses. It was only when Snape snapped at Lily and called her a mudblood that the friendship ended. And Severus has tried everything to repair it. He cannot stand being without Lily, he loves her too much. And he beats himself up everyday for loosing her.
