Skylar and Esme met on quite ordinary circumstances. There was pleasant conversation exchanged, facts, little known details, and mild flirting. So it was only natural for the pair to find themselves with feelings for the other. Sky, however, has never really been quite fond of his other half's connection with Esme, in fact he's tried several times on more then on occasion to break things off with the girl, though much to his disdain, he finds this unaccomplished for any length of time. To say that Skylar and Esme's relationship is rocky is an understatement, but its been something they've worked through time and time again and continue to do as such as the days roll by.
"Blunt side of my personality aside, I have to say that Esme is one of the greatest people I know on the face of this planet. There have been times when she should have loathed me enough to use the Killing Curse on me, and yet she remains there for me, through thick and thin, and I wouldn't have it any other way."

Raiden's 5th year passed in a blur of classes and keeping mostly to himself. That is, until out of nowhere this girl Esme comes along. They hit it off rather well, and decide to begin dating. Then they decide that that had been a bad idea. As much as they got on together in a platonic way, romance was not something on their "things we get right" list, and they broke it off after a short time. Their friendship, however, only got stronger with the passing of their relationship, and the two remain close friends.
"Es, you rock. I mean, besides your drumming. You're something like six shades of awesome, and I love that I can come to you with anything and you'll help me with only mild to moderate fun-making."

Esme and Lisette met that first night off the train. They were both scared about what house they were going to be Sorted into and what the year would hold for them. Lo and behold, they've been sleeping in the same dorm for 5 years (6 starting now!) and Lisette couldn't be happier with their friendship.

Adessa met Esme in her second year, and somehow the pair just clicked. It didn't matter that there was a year between them, not in the least little bit, and Des has always enjoyed Esme's company and enjoyed just being around the other girl. Having a tragedy in each of their pasts helped them bond, and they both did their best to help the other through the roughest of times- and continue to do as such still.
"I absolutely love this girl. If there was anything she ever needed from me, there's no way I could ever turn her down or turn my back on her. She's too important and means too much to me."
