{ About The CHARACTER }
x Esme Mariana Allejandro"Ez"
CANNON OR ORIGINAL: Original YEAR: 6th AGE: Fifteen DOB: December 23rd, 1962 RACE: Caucasian (half Italian) GENDER: Female SEXUALITY: heterosexual WAND: ebony and unicorn hair, 12 1/2 inches BROOM: cleansweep 350 PET: Barn Owl named Hepzebah for post
APPEARANCE: Esme is a thin girl, standing a medium 5'5". Her body is almost boyish and lacking in curves- she looks like her father in that respect, as well as many other instances. For example, she has straight brown, choppy hair that is often unruly simply because she doesn't care about looking fantastic most of the time. She does keep it clean always, because the one thing she can't stand is dirty, dull, greasy looking hair.
Her eyes are a dark chocolate color with lighter brown flecks that add depth and sparkle to her gaze. It's usually obvious when she's trying not to laugh, or if she's joking, because her eyes are the most expressive part of her face. Her skin is always lightly tanned from her Italian heritage- although it is pale enough that it's painfully obvious when she's blushing- which is often.
Her skin is also clear of blemishes, and very even. Her complexion is what she likes the most about her, while the fact that her curves are almost nonexistent bugs her to no end and makes her feel very insignificant when around better endowed girls.
FACE CLAIM: Caroline Corr
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Esme is a kind of quiet person who normally avoids confrontation with people she cares about. She'd much rather have to agree with something she doesn't believe in then have an argument with one of her good friends. Speaking of friends, Esme is also very easy to get along with, because she's naturally observant and empathetic to other people's feelings. Many of her friends confide things in her that they wouldn't dare tell others.
At heart, Esme is also a hopeless romantic. She keeps looking for that knight in shining armor to whisk her off her feet- even if she has a boyfriend at the time. She also has a bookish nature that makes her a natural and transfiguration, and surprisingly enough, History of Magic. Esme is also abysmal at potions due to her trouble remembering long lists of instructions. She also has a natural talent at drawing that is almost historic- if you asked her to draw something it would only be short of a photograph because it didn't move.
She also has a passion for music that's only rivaled by her passion for Quiddich. Unfortunately, only the first one is within the confines of her ability- she's absolutely horrible at Quiddich and suffers a debilitating fear of heights. Alas, she has to satisfy herself with watching every practice and game Hogwarts has to offer. She's a fair drummer, and she was taught by her equally talented father. BOGGART: Skylar leaving her again. PATRONUS: Winged Horse HOPES FOR THE FUTURE: She wants to get a job working in the Wizarding History Museum, or the Archiving Department of the Ministry.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: As stated before, her drawing skills are above and beyond anything most people have seen. BLOOD: half BIRTHPLACE: London, England MY FAMILY: Nick Allejandro (father) Estella Allejandro (mother) WHATS IN THE PAST: Esme's parents met when Estelle went on an exchange student program to the magical school in the United States. On one of the tours of the muggle culture there, she by chance saw the local drum corps, The Cavaliers. She immediately fell in love with the dark, handsome snare drummer called Nicky. He was extremely talented, and before long the two fell in love.
Nick was surprised, but not terribly dismayed to find out about his wife being a witch, and agreed when Estella insisted they move to England so any children they had could have an exceptional magical education. After a year of being married, Estella gave birth to Esme, their only child. She immediately showed signs of being a witch, but her father insisted on her going to a muggle School until she was old enough to be admitted to Hogwarts.
Esme loved both her mother and her father, though she was decidedly "Daddy's little girl". She learned how to drum at his insistence, and had a passion and talent that was almost magic. Sadly, in the summer before Esme's first year, her father was killed in a muggle massacre outside the Muggle Prime Minister's office. She inherited his prized ebony drumsticks, and when she went to go get her wand, discovered that the wand that chose her was of the exact same wood. This made her feel closer to her father and alleviated some of the grief the young girl felt.
|{ OTHER INFO }
RP EXAMPLE: Esme sat quietly in the common room doing an Essay for History of Magic and let out a contented sigh. For some reason, doing homework always relaxed her. She consulted her notes, and with a slight swish, a piece of her sketch paper fell to the floor. When she picked it up, she realized it was a detailed picture of her father in his uniform from when he had joined a Scottish drum corps. He had been so talented, and had tried his best to send some of that skill through his teaching into his daughter.
She felt a wave of sadness overcome her as she folded the bright white piece of paper and slipped it into her bag. She had lost her mood for homework and looked around the common room for her friends. When she saw then sitting by the fire, a smile lit up her face, but her eyes were still clouded with sadness. She walked over and sat down in an open space on a couch and listened to the story being told. Gradually she became happy again, realizing that as long as she had these people, she would be happy. ANSWER: When Remus and Tonks died. Having Ted as a character made me a little sensitive to that family. =) OTHER:
