Pt. 1 - The Begining



"No! Don't go Darius!! Please!!" Jayd shouted as she ran out the door. "Please, don't leave me! I can change! I will change!! For you I would do anything!" She was pleading for him not to go, she begged him not to leave her... But did he listen? No...
"Listen Jayd... You and I need some time to think over our lives... To figure out where this is going to go... I... I gotta go..." Darius walked away from the heartbroken Jayd, not knowing that this very well may be the last time he would ever see her...

ONE MONTH LATER

"So Jayd... How are you holding up?" Bri asked her best friend as she was putting on purple eyeliner to go to a party. It was Halloween, Jayd's favorite holiday... Well, at least it was...
"..." Jayd really was not in the mood to go t a party, she was in the mood to stay home and let the life drain from her body as the love had drained from her body the day Darius left her. Jayd let out a long and whispered sigh as she got up and went to get her shoes. She put on her long, black, leather, combat boots and walked over to the mirror. She was supposed to be going as a "rebel", Bri's idea. She looked more like a dead Goth than a rebel... She sighed again and went into the living room to await the sight of Bri in her "Naughty Pirate" costume. Bri walked out with her long blond hair covered slightly with a pirate's hat and her body barely covered by her slinky costume.
"Ready!?" Bri said excitedly, this would be the first chance she got to try and real in the cute new guy in school. Jayd sighed and got up grabbing her purse. She accidentally tipped it over knocking out her bowie knife. Bri picked it up for her and saw some dried blood on it. She looked down at Jayd and remembered the cut she had on her leg...
"Shaving huh?" Bri said irritated.
"Wha-?" Jayd looked over and then saw her knife and silence fell between them. "Oh... Uh... That..." She rolled her eyes. "Not like I am addicted to it or Emo or some s**t... God, it just releases a little stress." She grabbed the knife and set it back in her purse before walking out the door to go to the party.
On the way to the party there was no talking, they just listened to music and every now and then Bri would glance over at Jayd while she was driving. Jayd pulled up beside the house that the party was at and looked at Bri.
"You go on ahead in and I will park the car around the corner, so no one pukes on it." Bri nodded and got out of the car, much to some whooping and hollering from the men. Bri always got that, what with her blond hair and dark green eyes and gorgeous body, who would not find her stunning. Jayd sighed and drove around the corner and parked her car. She got out and looked around at the people who were beginning to gather around this area... There were not many trick-or-treaters in this neighborhood, mostly huge parties and such. She sighed and walked into the party. She looked around for about 15 minutes and then decided that Bri must have already hooked up with that new kid from school. She sighed and sat down on the couch with a cup of beer and watched the other girls, clad in bunny suits and naughty nurse outfits, and take the floor. They grinded up against the men and winked at others, this was a perfect time of year for them to hook up and get laid. She sighed as she watched them... Not knowing that someone... was watching her...

--- About an Hour or so later ---

Jayd had just finished her sixth beer when Bri came hobbling into view. She was smiling and holding Jake's hand, the new kid at school. Jake looked like he did not know who he was let alone where he was. Bri had something clutched in her had. She sat beside Jayd and dangled a freshly used condom in front of Jayd's face.
"I am going to frame this!" Bri giggled out happily. Jayd on the other hand felt like she was going to throw up. She pushed past the both of them and headed for the back door. She leaned over the railing of the porch; she was no where near drunk. She was just disgusted. Someone pulled her air out of her face, she did not care who it was, and she would thank them in a minute. When she was finally finished she straitened up and turned around. As she did she met with the most amazing Grey eyes she had ever seen. The Grey-eyed stranger smiled with his pale lips and showed his white teeth. He had long black hair that was as strait as a needle and has red streaks. At the time he had it braided back and it reached his mid-back. She gawked at him for a few moments more, until he spoke.
"Are you alright?" He asked with a voice as smooth as silk and more intoxicating than her entire bottle of Jack Daniels at home, in her room. She was so transfixed on him that the only words that could come out of her mouth were simple and to the point...
"I'm not drunk..." He laughed at this and nodded.
"I know if one of my friends had showed me a condom filled with cum I would puke too!" As he said this Jayd's mind kicked into gear.
"Wait," she said with a quirked brow and a slightly freaked out voice. "You... were watching me?!"
"Ha, Ha..." He smirked wickedly now, "More than you know..."
Suddenly... Everything went black..

Pt. 2 - The Meeting


Jayd awoke to what seemed like the middle of the night. She looked around and all she could see was darkness before her. She tried to set her gaze on something in the room, but nothing could come into view. She scowled to herself and thought that she must have passed out at the party and Bri took her home. Then she thought to herself and realized that her room had a window. Even at night it was not this pitch black. All of a sudden she head a smooth voice speak, smoother than silk and more intoxicating that Jack Daniels, and suddenly, her memory came flooding back into view.
"Hello my dearest Jayd..." The voice spoke softly at first, "How was your rest?" Jayd's memory flooded back to the night of the party. The condom, puking, the voice and those amazing grey eyes, and then... Darkness...
"Wh- Who are you?" Her voice shook with fear but not enough to make herself sound totally frightened, which she was...
"Who I am, my darling... is not totally important at this time, the only thing that matters is that you and I will be together forever..." He laughed at this, a little wickedly she thought.
"N- No! I do not want to be yours!" Her mind clicked into turbo drive as all the memories of her beloved Darius flooded her mind; of all the times he said he would be hers. He laughed at her robust answer.
"Do not worry; I will be back my darling..." With this he turned and walked out, she did not see him go, well; she did not see anything period.
She struggled, suddenly; she realized she was tied down. She began to thrash with a vengeance and one of the straps broke free, obviously her mystery man did not think she was all to strong. Well, he thought wrong... She leaned forward and began to undo the other strap. She had to get out of here; she had to get out of this mad house. As she undid the rest of the straps she jumped down, it was not that far of a jump, but then again she was a little off balance. She tripped around for a few moments and found the door. She opened it and ran out and around the corner, becoming blinded by the sudden rush of light she then bumped smack into someone. As she regained her composure she looked up and met face to face with... JAKE! The new kid at school! This was too much, she tried to get up but Jake had her up and on her feet before she could do anything and with a mighty powerful grip too. She led her into a hall and down a few flights of stairs.
"Oh well then... look who was strong enough to get out of her restraints." Jake laughed... "Stronger than your little friend there I will tell you that... But so not fret, she has still yet to serve her purpose..." Jayd thought for a moment and it all came together.
"What have you done with Bri you asshole!!!?" Jayd shouted
"I... have made her mine, she will be mine for forever more, and the child that she carries with her will breed more of our race." He smirked
"But... But... She and you used a condom!" This was just too much...
"Well, in her mind we did, but really... we did not, what you saw that night was an illusion to allow my seed to enter her and you to exit to the outside where my dear friend Nikoli could get you..." He laughed wickedly as they passed a room with an open door. Bri was lying on a bed, her ankle strapped to the post; she was sleeping soundly, no longer in her outfit. She was not in a silk nightgown, looking more closely Jayd could see two marks on her neck, she looked to Jake.
"So, you turned her!?!?" She growled
Jake laughed "No, that mark on her neck will send an aura out to all telling them she is mine, almost as if we were married... she will not become a vampire until the ceremonies are complete..."
"Bri..." Jayd was about to lose her cool when they entered a great room. This room was huge, a huge dinning hall. She looked up and saw the grey eyed man...

In a sudden burst of strength she yanked away from Jake and sprinted across the room prepared to lunge at this, this... GAH... she did not care who or what he was. She got a few feet from him and screamed.
"You B****d!" She lunged at him,he stood and dodged, but she slid across the floor and delivered a swift leg sweep, knocking him in the floor, with him in slight shock she delivered a punch right to his face. In an instant she was up against the wall, Nikoli's hand around her throat as wiped the blood that was trickling from his mouth with his free hand. He spoke in a demanding and devilish tone.
"You are the frist mortal to ever hit him and live, remember that... Jayd... I hold your life in my hand... you will be mine..." Upon hearing that Jayd spit in his face, her in turn delivered a harsh slap to her's, busting her lip open. She growled.
"You make me sick, I will never be yours... and I will take Bri with me, away from Jake!" Jake cut in quickly.
"Number one, she wont want to go, and number two... My name is Drake... stop calling me by the childish name..." He smirked, for the first time she saw what she was up against, when she say his pearly white teeth, complete with two elongated k-9's...
"Vampires..." She winced as it hurt to move her jaw. The one known as Nikoli smirked at her revealing his little secret as well. "s**t..." Jayd felt her body go limp slightly, she was losing consciousness and air... fast... Soon all she could see was spots and then black... All she heard was those horrible words... "You will be mine...."

Pt. 3 - Ball


Jayd woke up to what seemed like the middle of the night, yet again, though she did not know what time of day it was, of even what day it was. She sighed as she tried to get up, realizing that she was chained to the bed this time. She grumbled to herself.
"How original di.ckwad..." She sighed.
"Now now, there is now need to use fowl language..." A feminine voice rang through the darkness,*CRASH* if it had not been for the chain she would have completely fallen off the bed, but now, she just slightly hanged there, her head had hit the floor, but that was about it. She grumbled.
"Well, whoever you are, can you flip on a light or something, I am kind in an interesting position here... assistance would be greatly appreciated." She heard a slight sigh before a blinding light. "s**t!!!" The woman was around 5'2" she had pail skin and dark eyes, her hair was a brown with slight gold.
"My name is Eleria... I will assist you in the essentials to get you ready for the day." She rolled her eyes and unchained her. "Nikoli was always so forceful with his mates, don't worry, he is a much kinder lover than Drake though, I feel sorry for the poor girl Zelana is taking care of... Birthing a child to that devil..." She shook her head and then let a small smile creep across her face. "So, what would you liek to do before tonight's ball? Take a shower obviously... but what gown should you wear." She looked in the closet and pulled out a few gowns. Jayd looked up at her.
"Nothing too fancy or elegant... I do not want them thinking I actually like being abducted..." She glared out the window.
"I understand" Eleria nodding knowingly and picked out a plan black evening gown with only a slight sparkle on the side.

Jayd nodded, knowing it would be the best she would get. She got up and went to take a shower. After she was finished Elenia did her hair, leaving it down, she did simple black makeup with gray shadow. After she was ready Elenia lead her to Bris's room. Bri walked out in a white and black gown.

Her hair was up in a French twist and she had misty white shadow on. Bri smiled as she looked at her.
"Isn't this exciting!?! I am so happy Drake invited you too, I told him that I would not go to this party with him unless he let you come too, there is supposed to be HOTT guys here... I will get you over that d***k!" Jayd glared.
"Dont ever call him that..." Bri gasped
"Sorry, I forgot!!" She smiled "Come one, lets go!" She remembered what Elenia had said, Bri's memory had been fixed to realize Jake as Drank and for her not to say anything, since it would only cause trouble, Bri might lose all of her memory forever if she was not careful. They walked down arm in arm, the ballroom was HUGE, and it was filled with vampires... Jayd could sense it... wierd... As soon as they went down the stairs the music stopped and everyone stared, Jayd felt like a naked singer on a stage in front of millions of people, whereas Bri was loving it, she smiled and nodded to people as Drake and Nikoli walked ot the edge of the stairs to greet them. Drake took Bri's arm as Nikoli took Jayd's.
"You look stunning Jayd Darling.." She cringed when he spoke to her.
"To bad you look like a disgusting troll." He spun her around and glared at her.
"If I were you I would not make as scene my dear..." He smirked a fangy smirk and spun her around behind him, he took out something from his pocket...
"What are you doing to me"
"Shhhh" He said "I am putting a necklace on your bare neck." He smirked and put a black velvet choker with two small diamonds and a black onyx around her neck, he then spun her around. "Dance with me..." Suddenly her arms moved to aound his neck, she cringed.
"What did you do to me?!" He smirked beginning to dance with her.
"This will make you behave my love..."

***Three Hours Later***

Everyone was leaving and Bri was falling asleep in Drake's slimy arms. Drake shot Nikoli a smirk and Jayd knew what was going to happen that night... Drake took Bri upstairs swiftly. Nikoli turned to her and she glared.
"Don't even think about it you slimy son of a---" He cut her off with a finger over her mouth, she was at her boiling point now. "WHAT IN THE HELL MAKE YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN JUST TOUCH ME LIKE THAT AND NOT START ANYTHING... I WILL f**kING KILL YOU IF YOU EVER DO ANYTHING TO ME LIKE DRAKE DOES TO BRI! HELL, BEFORE I GO, DRAKE WILL BE LOOKING UP AT ME FROM A HUGE BLOOD STAIN ON YOUR PERFECT FLOOR!!!!!" She spun around and walked back to her room and slammed the door, locking it. She tugged at the choker but it would not budge. She scowled.

NIKOLI'S POV
"She will come around, or I will break her... Like your break a horse..." He spun around and walked to his room for the night.

NORMAL POV
Jayd collapsed on her bed, she closed her eyes hoping this all was a dream, knowing it wasnt. She sighed and bit her lip, knowing that she would never see Darius again... He didn't even care... She burried her head in her pillow and fell into an uneasy sleep, filled with dreams of Darius...

Pt. 4 - Visitor


The next morning Jayd awoke to the sounds of slight giggles. She looked up, her eyeliner and mascara running down her face from sleeping, and looked strait at the giggler... She scowled.
"How can you be so perky in the morning Eleria..." Jayd let her head drop back onto the pillow. Eleria giggled again.
"I am always like this... Today we have much to do... Nikoli has a visitor coming and he wants you to look presentable for him... he will be coming to live with us..." She giggled. "He is a very handsome man, his name is Nathanial... He is another powerful vampire like Nikoli..."
"With and even worse attitude I suspect..." She rolled her eyes and got up to take a shower. "Where is Bri?"
"Bri and Lord Drake will be out for today... They went to look for a dress for the ceremony..." She smiled and got a skirt and black corset for Jayd. As soon as Jayd had finished her shower she put on the clothes that Eleria had picked out for her. She sighed and took a look at herself, she left her long flowing hair down today. Her eyes looked to her neck and she scowled. She got up and went to under her bed, she searched for a moment and then found a long chain with a locket at the end. She put it on, the locket almost touching her waistband. Eleria looked at her and then the locket.
"What is in the locket Lady Jayd?" Eleria asked quizzically.
"A picture of my mother..." She walked to her and showed her a the photo of a woman with long black hair and hazel eyes. Jayd looked down.
"She is BEAUTIFUL!!!" Eleria exclaimed.
"She is dead..." Jayd closed the locket tightly and sat at the vanity as Eleria did her make-up in silence. Soon there was a loud DONG hear around the mansion. Eleria smiled.
"He is here, you should make your entrance now..." Eleria opened the door to let her walk through. She walked to the edge of the stairs and looked down... She sighed, no not having someone to walk with and not really wanted to be near Nikoli. She looked down and walked downs the stairs, the slight chatter between the two men stopped as they hear her coming. When this happened she looked up, her gaze immediately fall upon the most amazing icy eyes she had ever seen, the man who had then was as tall as Nikoli with long black hair braided behind him. He looked just as shocked as he did upon seeing her. He spoke in a soft tone, he voice like silk.
"Aiden..." He closed his eyes.
"J-" Jayd began to choke, this man was ten times more handsome than Nikoli. He looked up at her when she spoke. "Jayd... my name is Jayd..." He shook his head and did not speak again.
"Your right Nathan... I did not notice how much she looked like your dearest Aiden..." He smirked. "This is Jayd, my soon to be mate..." Jayd's rage boiled.
"OVER MY DEAD BODY YOU f**kING JERK!!! I WOULD RATHER HAVE MY EYES DUG OUT WITH A SPOON FOR ETERNITY THAN BE YOURS!!" Jayd's flame tounge subsided as she say the cold emotionless face of Nathanial, the face he had now turned towards her.
"Nikoli... We have business to discuss..." Nathan lead Nikoli out of the room to the still fuming Jayd. Jayd shook her head and ran back upstairs to Eleria.
"You did not tell me I looked like that guys ex!!" Jayd spat.
"Oh dear, I did not think he would notice..." Eleria bit her lip.
"What happened between them, why is he so cold towards me!?"
"Well, a century ago... Nathanial met a woman, she had just recently be turned... She looked a lot like you... well, her eyes were not a blue, but still... they fell madly in love, and on the eve of their wedding, she was murdered... found with a stake in her heart when he arrived at the church, she was in her wedding gown, in the dressing room, her veil was laying next to her and she had blood on her hands from where she initially tried to fight the person off... With her last breath, she had wrote a message to him... "I love you Nathanial..." in her own blood on the mirror in her room... There was no way a human could have fought a vampire like her off, since she was actually quite strong, there have been rumors circulated that Nikoli might have had something to do with it, since he too, loved her... But that has never been proven and Nikoli has never let any of it on... So, that is how they are still slight friends and how he came to live here was so that more vampires would be around, since the humans were finding more and more homes with only one or two vampires... and killing them, three vampires, especially two powerful and one slightly powerful vampire, would increase their chances of living longer." Eleria finished wiping away a few tears. "Aiden was my friend... I am sorry I did not tell you, that is why I wanted to take care of you instead of letting Zelana do it, I begged Nikoli and he obliged..."
"I see... Well, lets hope he cools down... Can I go out in the garden?" Jayd looked at her.
"Sure... " Eleria smiled and went to make the bed as Jayd jumped off and went downstairs. As she passed the den she heard Nathan and Nikoli talking...

VAMPIRE'S POV
"I told you I would come and live here in the mansion so there was more vampires... but why did you not tell me of this... Jayd..." Nathanial said in an angered voice.
"I did not realize a woman would bother you so Nathan..." Nikoli smirked. "She is after all, by mate to be... I thought you would be happy for me friend..."
"Whatever, if she bothers me... You wont have a mate to be... I will kill her..." He got up and walked to the door of the den, away from the smirking Nikoli.

NORMAL POV
Jayd's eyes grew large at what she heard, then she hard movement, she rushed to the door that lead to the garden outside, just in time for Nathan to storm out, he heard a small slam of the door and growled. He turned back to Nikoli. "It seems your "mate-to-be" is going to the garden, from what I heard earlier... you might want to watch her..." He smirked and stormed upstairs to his room. Jayd walked around the garden and smirked when she saw the gate leading to the outside of the manor... She ran to it and kicked it open, she smiled with glee and she looked back and saw that she was alone. She ran outside and began to run through the woods. Suddenly she heard a noise behind her and she spun around to meet face to face with Nikoli. His eyes were glowing red.
"WHERE IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING!!!" He growled at her and slammed her against a tree. Jayd winced and tried to kick him, but she was growing faint, and fast. Before she passed out she managed to scratch him with her nails, cutting his face, she fell to the ground, as everything went black...

Pt. 5 - Black and White


She awoke the next day with a pain in her neck. She weakly got up and looked in the mirror, seeing the bruise she growled to herself. Eleria walked in silently and looked at her.
"You should not try to run Lady Jayd..." She looked down. Jayd simply rolled her eyes and got into the shower as usual. She sighed as she got out putting on a corset dress and her black combat boots. She walked downstairs and then outside to the now VERY well caged in Garden. She looked around knowing this would not be the time to try anything. She sighed and walked to the far corner of the Garden, there was a cement bench and what seemed like hundreds of rose bushes, all different kinds, from red to almost black... from fire and ice roses to even Vampira roses (Yes, there is such things, my mom got me 16 for my 16th birthday, since I was given that nickname by my friends for my love to bite.)[Also, this is a VERY big Garden, so yeah. ^.^] She sighed and sat on the bench. She looked up at the sky and sighed, Nikoli came out in daylight, that meant that she was not safe to run even in the sun. (That was not supposed to rhyme) As the sigh escaped her lips she heard a rustle in the bushes. She stood and got into a fighting stance.
"Come on out! Whoever you are!" She screamed ready to fight, but before she could even move she had a pare of ice blue eyes staring at her with hatred.
"YOU do not order ME around!" Nathan or Nathanial or whatever they called him said with anger.
"Well, YOU should not be hiding the bushes watching ME!" Jayd screamed back, suddenly she felt a stinging on her face. She bit her lip to stifle a shout as he slapped her again.
"YOU will never speak to ME like that EVER AGAIN! Or I swear to God, I will kill you with my own bare hands! His face was inches away from her face, suddenly everything went blank. There was darkness and then a slight light... suddenly the memory of your mother death flooded your mind.

DREAM
"Mother? Mother?" Jayd shouted
"Jayden... Jayden..." Her mothers voice was soft and weak, in front of her was a woman with Green eyes and Black hair, she was smirking and her face was dripping with blood... Mothers blood!
"MOM!" Jayden screamed suddenly everything went white and a darkness enveloped her and her mother, The person who killed her vanished into darkness with a smirk. Jayden ran to her mother and coddled her. She began to cry as he mothers life sank into darkness... eternal darkness...

NATHAN'S POV
What the? What in the hell, why is she screaming... Green eyes? Black hair... Aiden?! That has to be her... Mom? Killed? Aiden... killed... her mom? What? No... Aiden wouldn't kill a woman... she had to much pride for them... She wouldn't... HOLY s**t! HER HAIR! It is turning white, wait no... the black is dripping from her hair, like it was white... What?!

DREAM
"That is right sir, her hair turned pure white... from the trauma..." The doctor spoke to her father.
"Mom?" Jayden awoke. "Where is mom... what happened... why is my hair white... MOM!?" Jayden began to scream
"Jayden... Your mom... she was killed..." Her dad said, stifling tears. Jayden got up out of bed and ran around looking for her mom. "Jayden..." Her dad spoke softly
"NEVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN!" She glared at her father, that was the name her mother gave her, her full name Jayden Marie Adams, she would never be called by her full name again, shortly after that, she told people to call her Jayd. She died her hair black again and kept dying it every two seeks to make sure it stayed black. Suddenly, everything faded away...

BACK TO NORMAL
Jayd woke up in her room, she looked around her now white hair flowing in her face.
"WHAT!?!?" She looked at her hair as Eleria walked in. "Eleria... I need hair die, black hair die! How did this happen!?!?" Eleria looked down.
"Well, you seemed to have a flashback in the garden, Lord Nathan brought you here... Nikoli saw you and said that you would keep your hair white... he thought it looked better..." Jayd shot up and ran downstairs, right into Nathan. He stumbled and then smirked at her.
"Well, hello... Jayden..." Her eyes filled with rage as she kicked him as hard as she could, knocking him to the floor.
"NEVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN!!!!" She hissed, suddenly Nathan was back up and had his hand around her throat. She gasped for breath as Nikoli walked up.
"Nathanial! Put her down!" They growled at each other and Nathanial let her go, as she dropped to the floor gasping for breath. She looked to see Nathanial look at her with hatred in his eyes and then she fainted... Again...

Pt. 6 - Confrontation


She awoke a few hours later with an even darker bruise on her neck. She sighed to herself and walked into the kitchen to get something to eat. She found some veggies and chicken, so she made chicken stir fry. She sat down and ate silently, Nikoli had gone to a meeting with the Elders to talk about the ceremony and the maids were out buying groceries, Drake and Br were most likely having sex again. She sighed and began to look at the locket she had around her neck. She put her head down on the table and wondered what had triggered her flashback... She let out a sigh as she felt presence in the room.
"Go away Nathanial..." He growled
"Lord... Nathanial to you human..." Jayd rolled her eyes "How did you know it was me?" Jayd shrugged.
"I don't know, I just did..." She looked out the window with her head on her arms. Nathanial walked behind her, taking a little bit of hair in his hands and running his fingers through it. This sent a chill down her spin, what she did not know was if it was a good chill, or a bad one. He smirked when he noticed this.
"So, why did you hair turn white?" He sat a few yards away from her. She shrugged, not really wanting to answer.
"Why don't you just try and kill me now? You know you want to..." He shrugged
"Not now... It would be no fun for your precious Nikoli not to see you fall." Jayd glared at him, standing up.
"HE IS NOT MY "PRECIOUS" HE IS ALL BUT THAT... HE IS A B****d AND I HATE HIM ALMOST AS MUCH AS I HATE YOU! YOU HAVE TRIED TO KILL ME TWICE AND HE HAS TRIED TO MAKE ME HIS MORE THAT I CARE TO REMEMBER! I HATE YOU ALL!!!" She walked out of the room in a huff and out to the garden by the roses. She laid on the cement bench, she sighed wondering about the rest of her life and if it would be spent here.
"I can't read your mind." Nathanial stated bluntly.
"Good..." She said just as bluntly
"That is not good... normally I can read people's mind..."
"So... Maybe I am just smarter than you..."

Jayd got up and walked around the garden some more, not even giving him a second thought, I mean he was handsome who was she kidding... he was Gorgeous! But that does not matter, she was not planning on staying here for that much longer, she would find a way out... she had to... she had to get back to her real life, she had to get back to trying to make Darius love her again. She sighed and she plopped down on the ground.
"Why have you been following me, do I really remind you so much of your Aiden." she said the last work with slight anger. Nathanial stopped and glared.
"You speak of her like she was a disease." She growled
"She reminds me of someone I have sworn to hate for all eternity."
"The one who killed your mother?" Jayd stopped and then growled.
"YOU ASSHOLE!!!" She ran at him tackling him to the ground, he was shocked slightly but then he picked her back up and slung her against the garden wall. She got up and limped at him.
"You still want more?" He smirked
"You insulted the memory of my mother!" She swung at him but she was slightly slow from the pain in her ribs, so he caught her wrist and twisted it. She didn't utter so much as a groan, her eyes filling with hatred. He smirked, knowing she would not last much longer, with a shattered wrist and most likely a few broken ribs and a sprained ankle. She swung at him while she noticed he was in thought, managing to hit his face one good time before he swung at her, knocking her to the ground as blood trickled from her now swollen lip. She growled at him from her position on the ground.
"Just wait until I get up, I will kill you!"
"I find that very hard to believe that you will be able to get up for a few days Jayden..." That did it... she was up in less that 10 seconds, running at him, slightly limping from the pain all over her body. Just before she reached him, everything went black. She winced as the pain enveloped her, she fell to the ground, but before she did, she felt two strong arms envelope her, keeping her from falling. Before she passed out she heard.
"I told you..." She could feel the smirk against his lips, but he had not won yet, she would come back twice as strong and show him the real meaning of pain...

Pt. 7 - Lullaby

She woke up slightly to a serge of pain and the sounds of muffled voices, one was Eleria and the other was Bri. Then she heard a dull snicker, NATHANIAL! That B****d, why is he here and laughing at me!
"I am so sorry Lord Nathanial... She gets like this, when she gets mad or something is bothering her, she will go on a tangent and fight anyone... But..." Bri looks down.
"But what?" Eleria pipes up
"This is the first time she has ever lost, even to guys three times her size..." Bri sighed as Nathan snickered again
"Well, she will lose time and time again if she tries to pick another fight with me." Nathan smirked THAT DOES IT!
"You... B****d..." Jayd winced out
"Oh, so miss tough is awake now." Nathan's smirk grew
"You f**ktard, get out of my room..." He growled and within seconds he was pressing a firm hand against her side. Her face contorted but she did not scream. He was satisfied with her face.
"If you EVER speak to me like that again... I WILL kill you..." He whispered threateningly in her ear. She turned her head away, just in time to see him let go and walk out in a huff. She panted as she felt her side numb. Eleria dabbed her head with water and sighed.
"You really should not get him going... he has a worse temper than Nikoli and he is more powerful too!"
"I don't care."
"Well, maybe you will when he snaps your neck in two!" Bri shouted, "Your my friend Jayd, the only one I have here! Your my Maid of Honor!! You need to stay alive!" She panted
"Your getting married!? To who!?" Jayd shot up, much to the pain of her body, but she did not care.
"Drake... in two months... before I start to show."
"SHOW?!?!" Jayd had forgotten she was pregnant.
"Yeah, I am going to have a baby, and I need you with me... Okay..." Jayd sighed and laid back down.
"Okay..." She rolled over, much to the complaints of her side
"Oh, and... dye your hair... I know how you hate it white." Bri smirked tossing you a few packages of black hair dye. She smiled as she walked out.
"Thanks Bri..." Jayd smiled and walked to the bathroom to let Eleria dye her hair back.

A FEW HOURS LATER
Nathanial walks in with Nikoli and Drake to find Jayd and Bri sitting in the Den in big chairs. Nikoli sees her hair and is enraged.
"WHAT!? Happened to your hair!?!" He screamed at her
"I died it back!" She stood up
"I TOLD YOU TO KEEP IT WHITE!" He glares at her an inch away from her face.
"LIKE I AM GOING TO LISTEN TO WHAT YOU SAY!"
"OH YOU WILL... GET IT OUT... NOW!!!!"
"NO!" Nikoli growls and slaps her, making her spin in the air a few times before she hit the ground with a THUD. Bri screamed and ran to her.
"Jayd! Jayd!?" Bri stood up, "Why did you do that Lord Nikoli?! I was the one who gave her the die... she hates her hair white, it reminds her of the day her mother died, don't punish her!" He growled at her and went to swing but Bri was shoved out of the way and he glared face to face with Jayd.
"You will NOT hit HER! Take out your anger on me! BUT YOU WILL NOT HIT MY BEST FRIEND!!!" Jayd's eyes filled with hatred, in Nikoli's blind rage he did not notice it, but Nathan did, her eyes flashed... But how? In a few seconds Nathan was at Nikoli's side, his hand on Nikoli's upraised one.
"You have spent your anger for today..." Nikoli growled but saw the fury in Nathanial's eyes. She glared and then got up and walked out. Drake had already ran to Bri and was checking to see if she was okay. Jayd did not look at Nathanial she looked at Drake, helping Bri... Could it be that he actually loves her? Drake's face showed concern, and worry. Could it be?
"Yes, he does love her... I can see his love for her in his mind." Nathan spoke softly as for them not to hear.
"I thought you could not read my mind." Jayd did not look at him.
"I can't, but it is written on your face." Nathanial got up and walked out of the room, silently. Bri was helped up by Drake and taken to their room. Before he left he looked at Jayd, he mouthed the words, "Thank you" and walked out. Jayd could not help but smile, finally, she knew Bri would be happy... even if it was with a vampire... Jayd knew Bri did not like being a sleeper, she was just a loving person. She loved everyone, and now... someone loved her back... more than just her body. Jayd walked out to the Garden, it seemed to be the place she could sit and ponder. She hummed to herself, then she laid down on the bench and began to sing a song that her mother sang for her when she was a little girl.

She wiped away a few tears as she looked at the roses.
"For a human, your voice is very angelic, but... it as a darkness to it... That song must make you sad." She did not bother to look up, she knew who it was.
"Should I take that as a complement or did you mean that in a snide... eww your a human sort of way? Nathanial laughed darkly.
"Take it as you will." He smirked and walked off. Suddenly she heard a loud DONG at the door. She sighed and decided to be nosy. She got up and walked to the garden doo, leading into the house. She heard some slight ramblings as she opened the door. She looked up her eyes wide.

Pt. 8 - Back Again

FLASHBACK

"No! Don't go Darius!! Please!!" Jayd shouted as she ran out the door. "Please, don't leave me! I can change! I will change!! For you I would do anything!" She was pleading for him not to go, she begged him not to leave her... But did he listen? No...
"Listen Jayd... You and I need some time to think over our lives... To figure out where this is going to go... I... I gotta go..." Darius walked away from the heartbroken Jayd, not knowing that this very well may be the last time he would ever see her...

"D-Darius" Jayd's voice was faltering from it's usual edge. Her icy eyes met with his deep and dark brown. He looked at her for only a few seconds before looking to Nikoli.
"We need to discus some things Nikoli." Nikoli nodded with a smirk to Jayd as they walked to the Den for a little talk. Nathanial was told to stay out of this dealing... he did not trust the look in Nikoli's eyes when he spoke to him. He did not trust Nikoli period... especially with a well known assassin of magical creatures such as Darius Ne Domini. Suddenly he heard running, away... He looked to the now running Jayd, her heart was racing and she was crying, he could literally smell the salt on her flushed cheeks, and the sweet blood running through her veins. He smirked, she seemed to know him, and he seemed to not be surprised that she was here. He would find out what was going on, one way or another. He walked behind her smirking as he saw her run through the ballroom and she was now running into the other Den on the other side of this robust mansion. Perfect. He smirked as he leaned against the door to the den, surprisingly he did not hear her crying, she seemed to let the tear silently roll down her face. Interesting, maybe this was a bad idea. What conscience he had spoke to him, but his interest got the better of him. He walked in and sat in one of the chairs nearest her. He watched her for a few moments before softly speaking.
"Care to explain?"
"Go away." She sad, not sounding completely helpless, only slightly.
"Well, I would... but intrigue has gotten the better of me..."
"..."
"So, how do you know Darius Ne Domini?"
"Neal"
"Neal?"
"His middle name is Neal..." He smirked.
"Well, apparently that is not all he lied to you about then."
"He... No..." She looked up, her eyes red, her face had very little makeup on it now, even without it she looked graceful. He shook his head, she was nothing to him. Never.
"Well, it seems to me that lover boy over their did not mention to tell you that he was an assassin..." He smirked awaiting what she had to say.
"An assassin... No..." She got up
"Well... Nikoli is his... let's just say he employs him from time to time..."
"Well, that would explain his late nights and not talking to him for days at a time..." She looked to him "Why are you telling me this!?"
"Well, it seems you two left on a slightly bad note, I am wondering why..." Suddenly the flashback ran through her mind.
"He said we both needed some time to think about our lives... I told him I would change for him, but he did not listen, he just left me at the stairs of my apartment..." She got up. "Then, a month later I go to a party and pass out... and wake-up in hell..." She left him sitting there pondering. He did not follow her this time as she walked up the spiral staircase that was closest to her room on the second floor of the mansion. She opened the door to her room to be met with the fluid brown eyes of Darius. She gasped and then turned away from him. Meanwhile Nathanial was walking to his room via the same stairs and his keen hearing heard the gasp. He figured Darius must have come to talk to her. He smirked, now it was time for him to get some real answers as to why he is here. She slid around the corner and listened.
"What do you want?"
"I wanted to talk to you."
"Well, talk..." She said, still not looking at him, she was keeping herself from crying.
"Nikoli.. he... employs my services from time to time."
"I know... your an assassin..."
"How?"
"Nathanial..." Darius growled
"He needs to get out of my dealings here..."
"Well, what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Nikoli took you from me..."
"No... you left me... and then a month later he kiddnapped me."
"I left you so that you would be easily taken... if you had been with me you would have put up more of a fight and most likely you would not be here."
"You say it like I could beat Nikoli!" She had to hold bake a laugh
"Haven't you noticed that you can actually injure them?"
"So.."
"Well, lets just say you a lot stronger than you let yourself know..."
"What are you trying to say?"
"That I know you and I know you are strong..."
"I see... Well... why are you here?"
Nathanial tensed, he would find out about this scum now.
"I have a job to do for Nikoli... I have to dispose of someone..."
"Who?"
"Erica..."
"Who is that?"
"She is a fairy in the High Archy who has been... neglecting the deal she made with Nikoli a century ago..."
"Which is?"
"That does not matter... I have to go now anyways."
"WAIT!" She ran to him before he got to the door. "Tell me... do you still love me?"
"Heh... How could you not know the answer to that..."
"I... I don't know... can you just tell me if you do or if you don't... Honestly..." She looked into his deep brown eyes hoping for a good answer. His face turned from soft to hard.
"Of course I don't... How could I love a mortal like you..." He walked out to leave a now silently sobbing Jayd on the floor. Nathanial was walking back to his room, or acting like it when he saw Darius walk down the spiral staircase. Was it his imagination or did Darius have tears in his eyes...

Pt. 9 - Flashback of Love

A few days past by with little to nothing happening. Bri was no where near showing and most of the time she was out with Drake doing something for the upcoming wedding or baby, or just spending time with him. She had fallen head over heals for him and it was obvious that he did the same for her. Jayd spent most of her day in the Garden reading books she had gotten from the Library, or in the atrium reading books from the upstairs library. This particular day was spent by the roses reading "The Elder Gods (Book One of the Dreamers) By: David and Leigh Eddings. This book was a fairly new book, which was a blessing because if she had had to deal with older books, she might have gotten bored on all that history... She smiled to herself as she leaned against the corner of the Garden where she would not be bombarded by the thorns, or the overwhelming sun. She had taken to a very comfortable pair of black flip flops that she had allowed to slip of her feet. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans that had scrapes and stitching and writing all on it, which she did all of this herself this morning, her locket, and a regular black tank with a gun on it, and of course, the d**ned chokcer. Her hair was in her face but she had enough light to be able to read. She was humming to herself as she read, there was a light breeze blowing her hair around, she heard some movement and she looked up, her icy eyes looking at the tall figure before her. Nathanial smirked at her why-in-the-hell-are-you-bothering-me look.
"There is a ball tonight... Nikoli wishes that you go get ready..." He rolled his eyes. "And he seems to find it necessary for me to be the message bringer for some f**king reason." Jayd rolled her eyes.
"Can't I sit this one out... I f**king hate being his little toy for three f**king hours..."
"Well, I am sorry... you can't... you are after all... his--"
"DON'T EVEN!" She stood up angrily
"Oh... you don't like being his possession do you?" He cooed in mock sympathy. He smirked and turned around. "Deal with it... if you want... I could kill you, it would make my day." Jayd mumbled to herself.
"Like you could..." In moments he had her by the arms and had her pinned against the wall of the Garden, his mouth dangerously close to her neck. He was breathing in her scent deeply as he glided a solitary fang down her creamy skin, slicing it open only slightly. She did not wince, she only let out a slight groan, which sent a shock wave through his memory.

FLASHBACK

"Oh... Nathanial..." Aiden breathed out at he lightly grazed his fangs against her pale flesh. She moaned, he loved it when she did that.
"Marry me?" Nathanial spoke into her neck. They had been together for nearly 6 years, and he loved her more than he could ever imagine, and she loved him.
"Of course!" She breathed as she pulled him to her face. They both smiled and then embraced as the memory faded to dust.

His eyes were filled with thought, Jayd would not have noticed if she had kept her eyes closed, but she wanted to know the reason why he hesitated in biting her, draining her of all that she had left in life, her blood. Everything else seemed to have been taken from her, her family, friends, and even Darius. Suddenly she was dropped from his grip, she landed shakily on the ground. She looked at him in silence as he walked away. What had stopped him... What was he thinking about, what was that look in his eyes... he got up and walked to her room to get ready, a tasteful dress had been laid out for after her shower. She smiled, Eleria knew her well... She went in and got in th shower, letting the hot water rush over her body, as she washed herself her fingers ran across the small cut that Nathanial had left on her. She sighed, what would happen tonight... when Nikoli saw. She winced at the thought of him. When she got out and put on her dress Eleria was already ready to do her makeup and hair. When she was done she walked to the spiral staircase and saw Bri in all her glory. Bri was wearing a white layered dress.

"Seems you wish to flaunt your beauty as much as you can until you show." Jayd smiled
"Yeah, and seems you want to hide yours... You can barely see anything with that dress, can't you even show your arms?" She laughed. Jayd looked down at her long sleeved dress. She smirked and pulled her leg out of the thigh high slit.

"Much, and I was only joking, your dress is very elegant on you..."
"Yours too..." Both Bri and Jayd smiled. Jayd felt at ease for the first time in a few days. They walked down to the ballroom and were met yet again with Nikoli and Drake, teeth and all. Jayd winced when Nikoli took her arm and began to dance with her. She saw Nathan out of the corner of her eye, he was dancing with some ravishing red head who seemed to be trying her hardest to keep her boobs "popping", Jayd held back a snicker, isn't there a saying about being happy with what you have? She smiled to herself when she was Nathan look to her. She gasped and looked away, right into the angered face of Nikoli.
"WHAT... is that!" He growled in her ear, she knew he meant the cut.
"I fell..."
"Bulls**t!" He growled and grabbed the back of her neck. "You are MINE!" He kissed her roughly, trying to make a point she guessed, until he pulled away spitting out her saliva. Which she had pushed into his mouth, basically spitting in it. She smirked at he growled at her. He lifted his hand and slapped her hard, making her fly to the ground. She lifted up from the ground lightly spitting out blood fro her mouth. She growled from under her hair.
"I hate you..." She heard him growl and come at her again. He grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the ground. She winced and got up weakly. But before he could come at her again Nathan was in front of him.
"My friend... you seem to forget you are in a room of your peers... need I remind you that most do not hit their mate to be..." Nikoli and Nathanial exchanged looks, Nikoli's was angry, yet Nathanial's was cool and collected... if mocking him some. Nikoli growls and turns away, Nathanial smirks at Jayd.
"Your welcome."
"I did not need your help." Jayd said getting up and walking to the stairs.
"I know, but I want my chance to kill you, can't have him doing it for me." He said emotionless as he walked back to his date. Jayd growled and walked back to her room taking off her dress and getting into a pair of boxers and a tank and laying on her bed to drift off to sleep. She dreamed about Darius, Nathanial and Nikoli all fighting... She tossed and turned in her sleep as her dream went on, and on...

Pt. 10 - Escape

She woke up sleepily the next morning and the sun rose and peeked into her room. She looked around, Dawn... Eleria and everyone else would not be up for another two hours... This was her chance!! She would be able to get away from this hell hole... She got up and grabbed a pair of black jeans and a black hoodie to put over her tank top and she slid on her combat boots, tying up the strings and running to her balcony.

As she ran to the window she unlocked it gingerly. She smirked as it did not make a sound. She grabbed a bag with a few changes of clothes and her secret stash of money as she looked out of her balcony, she had chosen the one closest to the T.V. room since no one would see her, even if they were awake. She sighed and looked down. She got out her pocket knife and sliced through the silk sheets, they would be enough to hold her. She smiled as she tied them in heavy knots and tied the "rope" to the bed post. She smiled at the fact that her father insisted on taking her to rock climbing lessons once a month so that she would learn to not fear heights and be able to get up and down a wall. She slid silently down the side of the mansion, feeling much more like a Marine than escapee. As she slid to the ground she felt an air of accomplishment. She might get away after all. She sighed thinking about Bri and how she would be left alone here, but she remembered that Bri was actually happy and in love, she would not mind... and maybe... maybe she would see her again, other different circumstances. She let out a soft sigh as she walked slowly to the parking lot, her eyes caught onto a car. Her best chance, she would drive the car to the nearest town and then trade it in for another car... This would prohibit them from tracking her if they had tracking devices in the cars. She found a fast enough car, it happened to be a car she had wanted for years... She looked down longingly at the 1967 Camaro, black too... of all colors for this gorgeous piece of work. Damn shame it would have to be sold off, but she knew it had speed.

She opened the door noticing that some retard had left the keys in the car. She smirked, oh well, saved her from having to hot wire the damn thing... She smiled as she turned the key, oh this baby could purr. Her fantasy was short lived though... she had to get going. She tossed her bag in the passenger seat and revved up, speeding off into the early day break. She knew they would come after her, but she hoped she would be able to get far away...

MEANWHILE
Nathan woke up to the sound of an engine revving... the engine seemed strangely familiar... Then, he knew it... SOME ONE WAS STARTING HIS CAR!!! He must have left the f**king keys in it again, well, it was not like people did not have their own hot rods around here... So who could be taking it... Then his mind wandered to one person... Jayd. He growled and threw off his covers and threw on his clothes, as he went out his door he was met with the face of Bri. He stopped, slightly stunned, then he glared...
"Out of my way!"
"Please... don't let Nikoli have her..."
"WHAT?"
"Jayd... I saw her drive off this morning when I got up to go to the bathroom..."
"I AM GOING TO KILL HER!"
"Shhhhhh!"
"Don't shush me!"
"Listen, if Nikoli finds out that she is gone, he will find her and kill her... I know that Darius works for you guys, or at least you employ him... Drake told me... I have sworn to hate him for all time now... But JAYD! She still loves him, no matter what, and Nikoli and Darius made a deal to get her... I can't... being her friend, let her live a life like that. With no one to truly love! Please! Let her go!" Nathanial was truly in awe of this woman... She loved her friend so much that she was willing to let Nikoli go on a rampage and probably try and kill her... Just to let Jayd live... He had to hold back a smirk. Humans were such emotional wrecks. He sighed and pushed by her.
"No... she stole my f**king car... I am going to go after her, then I am going to beat her to a bloody pulp... then I am going to chain her bleeding body to Nikoli's bed!"
"Can you be that cruel!!" She panted, getting weak from the shouting.
"Life is cruel deary..."
"Is it because she reminds your of your dead fiance'!?" He growled and slid his hand around her neck, tightening it.
"Don't ever speak of her again or Jayd's likeness to her!" He growled and threw her on the floor, on her back. He walked down the stairs and out the front door. He looked up at the sun and growled. He looked around and found another car that would work in getting her. He sighed looking down at the 1970 Chevy Corvette. He shrugged, he liked her Camaro better, he suspected that Jayd did too... Damn her! He got in a revved up the engine, he sped of towards the only direction she would be going... Town... He sighed as she speed off. God he hated her...

BACK IN THE CAMARO
Jayd sighed and let her elbow hang out of the window as she sped off towards the nearest town. She thought back on the note that she had left for Bri and Eleria... The only tow people in that God forsaken place she actually respected. She sighed thinking on what she wrote and on the faces of those two when the read her words.

Bri, Eleria... I am sorry that I have to leave you two. You two are by far the only friends I have in this godforsaken world.
Bri, you have been my friend since Kindergarten, no matter how different we were, we still stayed true to each other. Even when I got into the darker side of fashion a you stuck with the colors that fit your lively personality. You were there for me when my mother died, when my father went crazy... When we graduated and went to College... You even opted to go to the same college as me so that we would still be together. you have always stayed true to me... I am so sorry that I will not be there for you to walk down the aisle and for your first born child to enter the world. Always know that you are my best friend in the entire world and that you are my family. I love ya girl!
Eleria, I know I have not known you for every long. But you have always seemed to be a kind hearted person, even in the darkest of times. You tried your hardest to make me comfortable in this horrid situation. I am so sorry for your friend dieing and I hope that you will think me as a friend to you... always...

She sighed as she let one tear fall from her eyes. She smiled as she remembered her mother's words of wisdom.

FLASHBACK
Jayden was beginning to cry because she had fallen down and scraped her knee. Her mother ran to her and hushed her, fixing up her wound. She smiled at her with her mint eyes and put a finger to her pouting lip.
"Unus vox. Unus. Tamen planto is a bonus unus." She said with a small smile. Elizabeth Ann Andrews loved the Latin language, since she was originally from Europe and her family spoke it fluently... She had taught Jayd. The sentence roughly translated to "One cry... Only one... But make it a good one..." What she meant was one tear, but Latin did not have a set word for tear... But Jayd knew what she meant. She looked into her mother's minty eyes as the memory faded...

Jayd let out a sigh as she shook her head thinking of her mother, making her want to cry more, was a bad idea right now. She looked up to see a town just ahead. She nodded as she drove into the town. She found a local dealer who was more than happy to trade the car. She traded it for a black and white 1969 Pontiac Firebird.

She hopped in ad revved it up. She nodded and sped off to a store. She took some of her money and bought some non-perishable items. She grabbed a few sodas with high caffeine content. She got in and drove off out of town, away from danger, away from hell... but away from her friends. She sighed shaking the thought out of her head as she drove out of town and towards the countryside. She would try to stay out of sight as much as possible. She finally felt safe... Or so she thought...
