Okay, so for my english essay I decided to use my creative response and write a mother-daughter story since we were reading a book about mother and daughters. So I decided to do a story about Danielle and Elizabeth (her mum) since they were already made characters ^_^
So I decided I should post my story and see what you guys think. It would have been longer if I had the time. Oh, and it's set in the US rather than the UK, and they're muggles since it wasn't for rp... so yeah! Here ya go!
Danielle and Elizabeth
Elizabeth Dawson looked at the sleeping baby in her arms as she rocked back and forth humming. Danielle was three weeks old, and she had slept through the night a grand total of three times. Tonight was not one of them. Dani had fallen back asleep fairly quickly though when her mother had began singing to her. Robert had work in the morning and Elizabeth didn’t want him to wake up if she started crying again. After all, he needed to be fully alert if he was going to save the city from evildoers. (He was a police officer.) When she thought Danielle was completely asleep she stood up and set the little blonde baby back in her crib. She immediately started crying again. Elizabeth sighed and picked her up quickly. “Don’t cry Dani, Mommy’s here,” she said rocking back and forth as she began to sing softly. Danielle’s cries slowed down until they eventually stopped. Elizabeth sat back down in the rocker and continued rocking. The next morning Robert found Elizabeth asleep in the rocker and Dani happily lying there against her mother’s chest. Not making a sound.
Five years later a little girl with long blonde curls tugged on her mother’s hand. “Come on mommy we’re gonna be late.” Danielle’s curls were pulled up into pigtails and she had a brand new backpack on. It was her first day of school.
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” her mother said grabbing the car keys from the ring where they hung when they weren’t being used. “Hold your horses,” she told her daughter.
“But Mommy,” the girl said with a grin, “I don’t HAVE any horses.” Danielle

obviously thought this was hilarious and a very clever comment as she was giggling rather hard as she looked up at her mother.
Her mother chuckled. “Right you are Dani,” and the two left through the door into Elizabeth’s car, a green bug. On the way to school Danielle talked animatedly about how excited she was about school. How happy she was that she was going to be learning lots of new things. Then she could be just as smart as her big brother Tristain, and maybe as smart as her mom and dad someday. Elizabeth smiled softly as the girl talked keeping both eyes on the road and responding with all the right statements. She couldn’t believe her little girl was five years old. The same baby who only needed Elizabeth’s presence to fall asleep. School would be good for Danielle though. Besides, Dani wouldn’t have any problems in school. She was smart for a five year old, and she’d have no problem making friends, as she was extremely friendly and talkative. When they were at Danielle’s classroom the blonde hugged her mother tightly.
“I’ll miss you Mommy, I love you,” she told her kissing her mother on the cheek.
“I love you too,” Elizabeth said kissing her daughter on the forehead. “Now go and have fun so you can tell mommy all about it. She watched as Danielle didn’t hesitate to follow directions as she entered the classroom and sat down next to a little girl with brown braids. She smiled and waved at her mother one last time before beginning to talk to the little girl excitedly. Elizabeth smiled softly and left the room back to her car.
Seven years later the twelve-year-old Danielle was laying on her bed sobbing. Her blonde curls had grown even longer and they were strewn all over her pillow. Her mother heard the soft sobs from down the hall and ran down the hall to make sure her daughter was okay. “Dani, Honey, what’s wrong?” she asked her daughter pulling the scattered locks of hair that

Danielle had inherited from her out of her face and off the pillow.
Danielle sat up; her eyes still red from crying. “School was terrible today Mom. The girls were awful. Bella Black was the main one. She spread a rumor about me saying I kissed Ryan Daniels, and I was a dirty boyfriend stealer! I don’t even like Ryan Daniels! It’s not my fault he likes me and not Bella!” she said. “We’re supposed to be friends. I never did anything to her. Why is she doing this?” she said her voice had been sounding like it was holding back sobs the whole time, and after her last word it broke and she began sobbing again.
“Oh Dani,” her mother said pulling her into a hug as Danielle sobbed into her shoulder. “Because girls can be spiteful sometimes Honey, it’s just something you have to deal with sometimes. That’s how you find out who your real friends are. They’re the ones that won’t make up lies or stories about you, and who won’t believe them when someone does tell them rumors. Risi didn’t tease you did she?” Danielle shook her head quickly and said something that sounded like ‘Of course not’ between sobs. Risi was the same little girl who Danielle had sat next to the first day of school. The two of them were as different as night and day, but perhaps that was why she got along so well. “See, Risi is a true friend. She’ll stand by you no matter what the other girls say,” she told her daughter. The blonde nodded her tears slowing down. The two of them heard Robert call up that his other daughter was on the phone. Danielle hastily picked up the line in her room and Elizabeth walked out the door hearing Risi’s loud voice on the other line brainstorming ideas to get that snot Bella Black back.
Another four years past and a sixteen year old Danielle Dawson was getting ready for a first date with Alex Thomas. Alex was a senior guy in her brother’s class. The two didn’t really know each other though. In fact, Tristain had never so much as given a second thought to Alex,

much less spoken to him before he asked Danielle out on a date. When Tristain decided he ‘didn’t really like Alex,’ Danielle was sure it was just because he had asked her out on a date. Meddling pain. Danielle was annoyed at how big of a deal her parents and brother were making this out to be. She had been on dates before. She had dated a few boys in her grade before, and she had even dated Tristain’s best friend for a while. So what if he was a senior they didn’t know. He was a really nice guy, he really seemed to like her, and Danielle really liked him. Her mother walked into the room. Danielle heard her footsteps enter behind her and sighed turned around prepared to hear another annoying lecture about how some guys pressured younger girls into doing things they didn’t want to do sometimes, and she couldn’t let that happen to her. She shouldn’t do anything she’s not ready for, and even if you think you’re in love it doesn’t mean you have to move too fast. Honestly, this was the third lecture for this one date alone. Did her mother honestly think she could stop Danielle if that’s what she wanted to do? Absolutely not. Nothing her mom said would change her mind. “Yes?” she said with a pained tone to her voice. She sighed as her mother began the lecture.
Five years from now twenty-one year old Danielle was lying asleep in a hospital bed when her mother ran into the room. “So?” she asked Alex sitting next to her.
“A boy and girl,” he told the 41-year-old grandmother. “Sophia Abigail Thomas and Evander Daniel Thomas.” The nurses walked back in with the two little babies and Danielle woke up hearing the noise. The nurse placed the little boy in the nervous father’s arms and the little girl with reddish-brown hair in the tired, but glowing, mother’s arms. She hadn’t inherited the same blonde hair as her mother and daughter but she was beautiful nonetheless. Elizabeth looked at Danielle with the same affectionate smile that Danielle was using to look at Sophia.History was repeating itself, and that could hardly be called a bad thing.
Okay, so I'll finish the formatting later. Sorry about that, I reallllly need to be studying for Cal.
