It is the trio's seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After the death of Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall has been promoted to Headmistress of Hogwarts, Severus Snape has run off to join the rest of the death eaters, and there's a new minister of magic that doesn't seem to know his arse from a hole in the ground. After Dumbledore’s death, Harry revealed the existence of Voldemort’s Horcruxes to the Order and they have done brilliantly.
The wizarding world is in utter chaos; there is only one more horcrux to find by now. With Voldemort running around trying to hide the remaining horcrux and The Order trying to destroy it, everyone has been divided into either allies or enemies.
