So that was his game, hm? His round about way of asking her to the Spring dance. A genuine smile grazed it's way across Cali's lips and she lifted herself up on her arms as much as she could to look up at him again. "Well, I suppose we'd best get up and start hunting for this elusive redhead who apparently looks so much like me, hm? Before someone else snatches her up and drags her to this dance kicking and screaming." Her smile grew, "Then we'll have to look for me a date. We could double."
Her teasing lead to another gesture of affection. Why was it so tempting to kiss him all of a sudden? And so easy to do too. There was a time when she'd have flown into a furious rage at the very idea, but now? Now she found it far too easy (and tempting..) to raise up and press her lips against his -which she did once again with little hesitation and far less fleeting this time around.

Ryver couldn’t help it; he was laughing under her kiss. His lips were twisted into an amused little smile and his chest was shaking. He really couldn’t help it, she was just so ornery sometimes. “Sounds like too much effort for such a lazy day. I’d much rather take you.” Strong hands traveled up the length of her back, rubbing back down in an affectionate gesture. “Besides, I don’t think I’d like another redhead, even if she did like you. Blond wouldn’t work, either. Or brunettes… It’s all your fault, you know. Now I don’t like anything but your hair.”
He flopped boneless on the ground. “I could have been a womanizing hunk, but you ruined me for that. I guess I’ll have to be some kind of Romeo that doesn’t die at the end, now!”

"Oh, well excuuuse me. If you'd like, I could get some sort of memory obliterating spell so that you forget all about me, and then you can be free to your hunkly womanizing ways." She stuck her nose in the air in quite the arrogant expression, then rolled off of him and onto her back on the grass. Maybe I shouldn't go to the dance with you. Might cramp your manly style." she made a hmph sound and folded her arms over her chest, the arrogant expression still on her face. It was just more playful teasing, and hopefully Ryver knew her well enough by now to know this. Despite waking up late in a panic, Cali was now in a rather good mood. Maybe she needed to skip class with Ryver more often...

“That wouldn’t work,” Ryver said with firm conviction. As she rolled off of him, he followed suit to roll on top of her and perching on all fours. “It would be okay for a while. Girls are nice, and I’m sure I could charm my fair share. But here’s the kicker; you’d still be around, and even though you were obliterated from memory it would be inevitable that I’d see you again.” He nodded and tried to catch her eye. Eventually he ended up with his nose squished against hers (the nose thing wasn’t very manly, but he liked being that close) with his eyes crossed.
“I’d be knocked head over heels all over again and I’d have no idea what to do about it. ‘What a pretty girl, I want her!’ And then the process begins all over again! Now, if you go to the dance with me…” He trailed off long enough to press a brief little kiss on her lips. “If you go with me, my style improves because I have such an amazing date.
“Doesn’t that make sense?”
