You and me, all alone It's too late to say we didn't know We shouldn't be aloneOne of us might lose control
The sun had set hours before Kayleigh Murphy flounced down the qudditch pitch. She was in the mood for a night time ride and it seemed like ages since she had been out on her broom. Although she enjoyed practice, tonight she wasn’t in the mood to improve the accuracy of her already deadly shot or work on passes with her team mates. Tonight, all she wanted was to feel the wind in her hair as she soared higher and higher in the skies. That meant sneaking out of the brooms, but, like most Gryffindors, that didn’t really bother Kayleigh.
Her blonde hair hung in careless, loose waves to frame her face with its short length. The streaky blonde locks were brighter after visiting her brother in South America. She wore dark green, not a favorite color of hers but, if some one were to look out of their window, they would see a green blur, not a red or gold one, and would take points from Slytherin as opposed to Gryffindor. It was a petty trick, but it might work.
Kayleigh tried not to judge people based on their house, she didn’t automatically hate all Slytherins, but it always had been a rivalry. Her clothing choice wasn’t really malicious; it was just a little fun for her. Besides, it wasn’t like anyone would be up and staring at the Pitch to look for a dark green blur. Kayleigh had never been caught on such midnight rides before, she wasn’t about to start now.
Quietly, she made her way down to the field, her broom over her shoulder, her body blending in with shadows as she walked. Her nerves were prickling at the prospect of having free reign in the air and she couldn’t wait to start flying. She could have simply gotten on her broom then, but where was the fun in that. The whole point was to sneak down to the pitch to fly, not take the easy way. If Kay had wanted to do things the simple way, she would have simply flown out of her dorm window. She bit her lip to suppress a delighted squeal of excitement as she entered the stadium, she couldn’t wait to fly.
The moment her feet crossed the threshold, she was in the air. The handle of her broom glinted in the night and she went into a sharp ascent. The wind blew her hair from her face, still a bit cold as she soared up. Kayleigh started with a few lazy loops, simple stuff, a few rings around the goal post before she decided to challenge herself. She was getting so bored of the same old tricks; it was time for something new.
Kayleigh slowed her blurring pace and slowly rose to stand on her broom. She beamed down at the ground whirling by beneath her and a grin broke out over her face. The she decided to push the envelope a bit farther. It had been years since Kayleigh had fallen of a broom, but with no one around to witness it; she was willing to chance her record to try something new and exciting.
The blonde transferred her weight to her heels and directed the broom upwards, starting to climb steadily. This wasn’t good enough for Kayleigh; she pushed down harder to create a steeper climb and force the broom to start a loop. She knew that at a certain point she would fall, but somehow her broom knew her, and she knew that it would complete the loop and she could simply fall and land on it. Of course, that was how it should have worked in theory.
Instead, Kayleigh found herself falling backwards, the broom completing the loop, and a blur whizzing by her. In her distraction, she missed her broom flying below her and continued to fall straight toward the ground. A million curses swirling in her mind, a few of them uttered as she fell. Then, a hand grabbed her arm and she realized that some one had caught her and prevented her from diving straight into the ground. It was the same person that had ruined her trick, and she realized as she looked up into the face of her rescuer that it was Tristain. You could have killed me! And you still wouldn’t be able to beat Gryffindor. she said, teasing him but still mildly annoyed that he had caused her to mess up. What are you doing out here? she asked.

It was late, and students belonged in bed. Since when did that bother Tristain though? He was practically nocturnal anyways. He slept during classes, when he even bothered going. Now he really needed to get out of the castle though. He needed to just fly for a bit. He snuck upstairs and out of the castle. Not because he was worried he'dget caught, but because he was trying to avoid Diomedea. She too was often up late at night and he didn't want any interactions for a bit. He didn't know what would happen, but it would not be good.
He flew for quite a bit going very high in the air. Higher then was 'regulatory' but when did he follow the rules? Well obviously as he was out after curfew, it meant he didn't hold them in high regard. He took a loop around the castle and the grounds, and noticed someone else flying. Damn. He was going to sneak back in when he recognized the blonde hair flying back. He grinned. Typical Gryffindor. Sneaking off after curfew to do stupid tricks on their broom... okay, so a Slytherin would definitely do it too, but that wasn't the point now was it?
He snuck up behind her as she started a particularly difficult trick and somehow managed to scare her and she fell. Really, he hadn't done it on purpose. It was just rotten timing. He caught her quickly so she didn't fall. He couldn't help but he worried until he had pulled her safely on to his broom so that she was sitting sideways in front of him. They were very close, but Tristain didn't say anything. "Well if all of your teammates are as easily frightened off the broom I don't think we'll have a problem," he said with a grin. He was fine with joking now that she was safe. "You weren't in danger of falling my dear Kayleigh," he told her winking, "I have amazing reflexes. I really should be a chaser I think sometimes." He paused before adding teasingly, "I do believe that's the second time you've fallen for me Miss Murphy. You best be careful or I'll think you're doing this on purpose just so I can catch you."
They were floating in the air. Her broom had landed safely on the field below them. He supposed they should go down now. There was a gust of wind and he grinned. They'd go down... in just a minute. "Hold on tight," he whispered to her. Then he took off speading up at a sharp angle. Once he was sure she had held on he took a deep dive and went in a circle, making them upside down for a moment. As she was still sitting sideways she had to hold on extra tight. If it had been anyone else he'd be worried they'd be scared. Not Kayleigh though. He soared back into the air for a few seconds and then headed back down to the ground. He landed next to her broomstick and the two both landed on two feet. Her arms were still wrapped around him though. "Enjoy that?" he asked with a grin. "Am I forgiven for scarring you?"

You and me, all alone It's too late to say we didn't know We shouldn't be aloneOne of us might lose control Kayleigh felt herself being pulled upward to sit sideways on Tristain’s broom. Her legs dangled over one side as she looked back to him. They were sitting close together, but it didn’t bother her; Tristain was one of her best friends. He was a really great guy, and she could of course take a bit of teasing from him. Especially when she was the one that had started the teasing. I wasn’t expecting anyone! she said in her defense. Besides, it’s not as if Gryffindors would be trying to pull tricks like that in a match. Maybe a seeker would, but not a chaser. Kayleigh told him with a grin.
And you need more than reflexes to be a chaser. Kayleigh said, her face an expression of joking haughtiness. She was really only teasing him. You need accuracy and to fly fast. Reflexes are only a small part. she grinned. Kayleigh of course was a chaser, though she was competent in all positions. She was best at chaser, but she would have played another position if her team needed her too. Kay was a team player and liked to win.
The haughtiness broke as laughter bubbled out of her throat. Really Tristain? she asked, a blonde eyebrow arching up. You think that’s why I’m falling? she laughed, at the implication she was falling for him. If that were the case, I can assure you, I have better tricks up my sleeve. she said with a laugh as he told her to hold on.
Kayleigh’s hands gripped the broom as it dipped down. She wasn’t used to riding a broom like this, she supposed it was how many women felt when they had needed to ride side-saddle. It was a bit odd, but fun, definitely something she would consider trying again. She looked back at Tristain and shot him a grin as delighted laughter sprang from her throat. She had to admit, she was having fun.
Her blue eyes sparkled as she answered his questions. Forgiven, but it’s not forgotten. she teased. I’ll get you back on day, I swear. she said, as he landed. Her arms were still wrapped around him and at the moment she saw no reason to let go. You’ll have to watch your back. she told him and leaned in as if to kiss him. You never know what I’ll do. she whispered close to his ear, a mischievous gleam in her blue eyes before she pulled back and picked up her own broom. Catch me if you can. she said and took off up straight into the sky. She was moving quickly, but not so fast that he couldn’t catch her.

He chuckled. "Yes, I suppose Chasers would look a bit silly trying to stand on their brooms." He raise his eyebrows at her defense of chasers. She was such a Quidditch player. Really, he didn't know another girl more interested in the sport. "Defensive aren't we?" he asked her amused. "Besides, I do believe that's what Beaters need too," he told her with a wink. He grinned wickedly. "Better tricks up your sleeve?" he asked. "Dirty," he said teasingly as he winked at her. "I'd love to know what these tricks are, or is it a surprise?"
He felt her wrap her arms around his neck quickly as he took off, and as they flew she looked up at him grin and laughed. She was having fun. Good. He liked to see her laugh. Once they landed and she had answered his question he chuckled deeply. "Well I look forward to it," he said with a wink. They had both landed on the ground feet first and both their brooms lay on the field. Her arms were still wrapped around his neck, and their faces were very close. "Will I?" he asked as she seemed to get closer as if she were going to kiss him.
Very suddenly she pulled back and picked up her own broom. Before Tristain could do anything she was off in the air again. He laughed. He was having fun too, and his mind was getting the escape from Diomedea that he so desperately wanted. All his thoughts were in the present right now. He picked up his broom and was in the air following her within seconds. She was very fast. He knew that already though. She wasn't going as fast as she could so he was able to catch up with her soon enough. He flew beside her, and the wind pounded against them as they flew. Her blond hair flew back and she looked so happy. He grinned at her, it was definitely contagious.
[[... sorry for the awful post! I didn't know what to have him do... xD]]

You and me, all alone It's too late to say we didn't know We shouldn't be aloneOne of us might lose control Kayleigh loved the feeling of the wind in her hair. It was so freeing. She was never more at peace than when she was in the sky. There was little in the world that compared to the exhilaration she felt while flying. Her entire body seemed alive when she flew; there was little else that made her feel so alive. She needed the open air the same way some people needed oxygen.
She tossed her blonde hair over her shoulder as she looked back to see Tristain following her. He returned her grin to her delight. Kayleigh raced higher, pushing her broom to go faster in the vertical climb. To her delight, he was keeping pace. She shot him another grin over her shoulder. Though she hadn’t intended on company when she had set out earlier that evening, it was nice to have him by her side. It had been too long since she had seen him last.
Intent on catching up with him, Kayleigh stopped her broom suddenly and pointed it directly down at his. She came up next to him and perched herself on his broom once more, her legs dangling over the side. The blonde shot him another grin. So what’s new Tristain? she asked, a golden eyebrow arched. I feel as though we haven’t talked in ages. she said, with a slight pout to her lips. I’ve missed you. she said plainly.

Her happy smile, her hair flowing back, she really was quite pretty. Not exactly in the stereo typical sort of way, or in the way Dio was, but in a sporty, fun loving sort. It was more her personality that made her so attractive, which was better of course. She very abruptly came to a stop and turned towards him. He skidded to a stop and managed to stop before hitting her quite easily. He grinned at her. It was nice to be able to treat a girl more as a friend then, well, a girl. Not that he didn't treat her like a girl of course. That wasn't the point. He felt much lighter and much more happy then he had since the last time he had hung out with her. This last week had been... well he didn't know what to call it, but it certainly wasn't fun. His mood crashed significantly when she asked him what he'd been up too. His grin disappeared and he grimaced slightly. "Well," he said the cheery tone gone, "Remember what I told you I saw? Turns out that was a misunderstanding," he told her pausing. "She saw us through the window though. When you slipped in the mud and I had to carry you back to the castle, and took it the wrong way," he said rolling his eyes. It had been of course, perfectly innocent. They were just having fun... being friendly. "So she got drunk and snogged the guy," he said a bit angrily. "I told her I needed to think about it. Then I find out she's screwing with all these people's lives. Trying to ruin someone's life and hurting two others in the process. One of them deserves it, but the other is supposed to be her friend," his tone was rising and he was staring off into the sky behind Kayleigh. "She's manipulating all these people for her own enjoyment." He paused and was silent for a moment. "So I broke it off," he continued looking Kayleigh in the eyes his level decreasing to normal volume. "You were right. She's exactly who I thought she was before," he said. "I was stupid to think otherwise." He laughed, but it wasn't a genuine laugh. "I'd rather not think about that now. I'm so much happier just here having fun with you," he said smiling at her. "You have no idea how much you've cheered me up tonight," he told her sincerely. [[I'm predicting his next post he shall make his move? ]]

Kayleigh let her legs dangle over the side of Tristain’s broom as he talked. Her head was tilted to one side as she heard his story, nodding at the appropriate times. She remembered what he had told her; she hated Dion even more for it. Kayleigh hated people that cheated. Everyone knew that Kayleigh Murphy wasn’t the other women and never would stand for some one else cheating. She was too loyal for that.
Her blue eyes darkened when she heard him say that Dio thought she had been with Tristain while he was still dating Dio. Anyone that knew Kayleigh knew that she would never do something like that. Kayleigh would never have done something like that. Her eyebrow knit together in a scowl. Stupid git. she muttered under her breath but looked over at him as he mentioned breaking up with. It brought a smile back to her features.
Good, she didn’t deserve you. she told him flatly. Kay had never been a fan of Dio. In fact, she hated her guts and the feeling was most likely mutual. Though I am sorry that you’re unhappy.
she said and put a hand on his cheek. Anything I can do to help? she asked. [[Sorry that it's so short and took me so long to post!}} [/blockquote][/blockquote]

She seemed pleased that he had broken up with her. That wasn’t too terribly surprising. She had expressed her distaste from the beginning. Since before he had completely fallen into her little game. If only he had taken her seriously then. Maybe he wouldn’t be in this situation now. Dio obviously wasn’t too fond of the Gryffindor either and hadn’t once tried to understand their friendship. She hadn’t tried to understand that a guy and a girl could just be friends.
He had been starring off into the starry sky when he felt Kayleigh’s hand on his cheek. His brown eyes turned and looked into her blue ones. They were never icy or blocking the world from getting in. They were always real. Kayleigh was who she was. She didn’t hide behind anything or try to be someone she wasn’t. She was a friendly and mostly happy girl. “You have no idea how much you’ve already done for me,” he whispered. “I haven’t felt this happy since the last time we hung out a week ago. I can forget about it all when I’m with you Kayleigh,” he told her sincerely. He didn’t break eye contact as his hand grabbed her free hand and their fingers interlaced. He brought her hand up to his lips and gently kissed it, still not breaking eye contact. Their hands fell back down, but didn’t separate.
He really wasn’t sure what he was doing. He wasn’t really thinking. Something else was controlling him. He was not trying to ‘make a move’ to lead to snogging or anything like that. He was just doing what felt right. They were very close in distant right now, and both were skilled enough to rest in the air without thinking about it. He closed the distance between them and kissed her.

Kayleigh kept her hand on Tristain’s cheek as he stared off into the night. Her blue eyes were on his face as he looked away from her. She hated the thought of him being unhappy. As much as she hated Dio, whether she understood the attraction or not, if Dio had made him happy, Kayleigh would have accepted that. Naturally, she would have told him that she didn’t understand it, but she wouldn’t have actively worked to break them up. To her relief, Tristain had seen that Dio wouldn’t make him happy.
She felt him turn and his brown eyes met her blue ones. He looked a bit happier than he had a moment before, but not joyous; Kayleigh missed seeing joy in his eyes. The blonde hated seeing unhappiness in the eyes of some one that she cared about. As their eyes held, she ran her thumb along his cheek bone and sent him a small smile as she listened to his words. I’m glad that I can make you happy. I don’t like seeing you sad. she said as he took her hand and kissed it lightly.
The touch sent her pulse humming through her veins. It was such a simple gesture but done with such tenderness. Their eyes stayed locked and Kayleigh seemed unable to look away. She could still feel where his lips hand met her knuckles as their hands lowered.
She liked the feeling of her hand in his; being with Tristain was so easy. Kayleigh wasn’t really sure what was happening inside her. Tristain was her friend, one of her closest, but at that moment, it seemed like she wanted more. She wasn’t sure exactly what she was thinking at that moment and the moment he kissed her, all thought momentarily vanished from her mind.
Her lips curled into a smile against his. When she had first met him she had thought they might end up here but after getting to know him better the thought had sort of died from her mind; now that idea had turned into a reality. Kayleigh squeezed his hand and kissed him back. At that moment, nothing felt more right.
Still, Kayleigh had to pull back a moment. She leaned back, still holding onto his hand and just smiled at him. She could still feel his lips on hers, it was a feeling that she wanted back so she leaned in and kissed him lightly before pressing her forehead to his and saying his name softly with a slight sigh.

He hadn’t planned it, and he’d never have predicted it. Okay, so he would have at the beginning of the year. When he had met her he’d assume the friendship would lead to the same place all of his friends who were girls had made it too at some point or another. When his relationship had started with Dio and they had gotten closer he’d cast the idea aside. It had been nice having a girl who was just a friend, and while he had been with Dio that was all they’d ever be. He wasn’t the cheating type. He had never really been in a real relationship before Dio, but any of the… things he’d had with girls, if it had any sort of exclusivity, he’d never cheated. With Dio, it wasn’t even a possibility. Yes, she’d done a Class A job of manipulating him.
He hadn’t planned the kiss, though it was just the sort of situation he’d have created ‘back in the day.’ That perhaps made it better though. When she kissed him back it wasn’t the same as with Dio. He didn’t think it ever would. It was different, but still good. Still really good though. It was so easy between the two of them. It wasn’t awkward, forced, or a ‘what the hell am I doing’ sort of thing. It seemed very natural.
She pulled back after a few seconds. They couldn’t exactly snog in the middle of the sky on broomsticks. Crashing to the ground might just ruin the moment. Perhaps. He looked at her for a reaction and she was smiling. Good, so she didn’t think it was awkward either. He grinned his normal, happy, fun grin back at her. She kissed him again and then rested her forehead against his, whispering his name. “Kayleigh,” he whispered back his eyes twinkling. “Perhaps we should fly down?” he said. “Before our hormones decide to kill us?” He said the usual amused look in his eyes. It was a legit concern though, as he very much wanted to kiss her again, and it was probably best they did that on the ground. Their fingers were still interlocked and they swung beside them. The weather was perfect. It was slightly windy, and just a little chilly out. He was with a smart, fun, beautiful girl who loved to play Quidditch. Their ‘moment’ could not have been more perfect.

You and me, all alone It's too late to say we didn't know We shouldn't be aloneOne of us might lose control Kayleigh watched as Tristain grinned back at her. It was so good to see him smiling again; she never wanted to see him unhappy. The seriousness, the pain that she had seen earlier was gone, as if it had never been there. It was a relief. He wasn’t thinking that it was awkward between them, it was so easy. Kayleigh had been in relationships that weren’t as easy as this, but it seemed so natural with Tristain. Did that make it right? Kayleigh wasn’t sure but the only way to find out was to try.
She sighed again as he said her name. There was something in the way that he said it that made her happier than she could have imagined. Kayleigh wondered why that was; she couldn’t come up with a good reason for it. Perhaps it was better not to question it. Besides, Kayleigh had never been one to analyze things too much. She tended to keep things simple.
At Tristain’s suggestion, she could only laugh. For a moment, she had forgotten that they were hundreds of feet above the ground. They could have fallen off his broom at any time. Yes. I think that would be a good idea. Kayleigh replied but still did not let go of Tristain’s hand. She traced her thumb over his knuckles and kissed his cheek. Take us down. she whispered and waited for him to take them to the ground again.
Her broom was already resting on the ground but for once, she didn’t feel like grabbing it and flying off into the sky immediately. She felt like staying with Tristain and maybe kissing him again. It felt good to be with him. Kayleigh had always liked his company and tonight she especially didn’t want to leave his side. She wanted him to kiss her again. Kayleigh didn’t want the night to end because she was afraid that he wouldn’t feel the same way once the sun came up.

He grinned at her yet again. Being with her was not like being with Dio. He didn’t feel like he had to have her to survive, but when he was with her he could forget about his other problems and just be himself. He couldn’t forget about the rest of the world with Dio. especially when many of his problems with the rest of the world had to do with her. He wrapped an arm around her waist to keep her on the broom (not that she’d have any problems staying on) and led them to the ground.
They landed on the ground next to where her broom had landed, and once again, both landed feet first even Kayleigh wasn’t even facing the right direction. His arm was still around her waist and he grinned pulling her too him. “Now Miss Murphy,” he said his eyes twinkling, “I do believe we were in the middle of something.” He leaned forward and kissed her again, with less caution this time since they were no longer in danger of falling to their death. They needed to talk about how they felt, and where this was going to lead too, but for right now he was perfectly content kissing her. He didn’t think something like this could screw up their friendship anyways.

You and me, all alone It's too late to say we didn't know We shouldn't be aloneOne of us might lose control Kayleigh liked the way that Tristain’s arm felt around her waist. Likely he had placed a hand there to keep her balanced. Though the gesture was unnecessary, it was appreciated. Kayleigh liked that he cared enough to try to offer her support. It was one of those little gestures that told her so much. Kay knew that Tristain would always be there for her, that he would always keep her from falling, metaphorically speaking. Kayleigh smiled and closed her eyes as he flew slowly downward.
She felt her body being pulled closer to him once they had landed. Rather than return to her own broom, Kayleigh slid against Tristain and rested her head on his shoulder as he spoke. The blonde turned her face up to him and shot him back a grin of her own. It was the million watt grin that she was known for around Hogwarts. I do believe that we were. she said with a laugh just before he kissed her again.
Kayleigh smiled against his mouth as she kissed him back. There was less restraint on both accounts this time. There was no need for them to be careful; there was no danger of falling off of their brooms now. One of her hands wound up around his neck while the other moved to rest on his cheek. She had never imagined what it would be like to kiss him, but was discovering it was something that she liked. Her lips were still turned up in a smile against his as she took the kiss deeper.

Kayleigh seemed perfectly willing to follow his suggestion. One of her hands looped around his neck while the other hand rested on his cheek.Their kiss was less restrained then before on both parts. For one thing they weren't a few hundred feet in the air. For another it wasn't a first kiss. Neither had to worry that it wasn't what the other person wanted. Obviously they had a few moments to think it over, it wasn't a surprise that they would continue. He wasn't sure how he'd feel about this in the morning, hell he wasn't sure how he'd feel about it in five minutes. He didn't know what would happen, but he was okay with that for now. He was enjoying kissing Kayleigh far too much to complain. She deepened the kiss and he recipricated. One of his hands moved up and he twirled a lock of hair around his finger. He wasn't messing it up, he was simply twirling it.
They continued like this for some time, but eventually they were running short on breath. Both were in excellent shape, but kissing like they were certainly took a lot out of a person. So, reluctantly he pulled his lips away. He made no gesture to seperate and their bodies remained pressed together because of his arm looped around her waist and her arm around his neck. He grinned at her his breathing slightly heavy. "Well that was fun," he said winking at her. "Certainly not what I expected when I came out here to brood. Much more pleasant." He was still twirling her hair absent mindedly.
He looked down at her still smiling at her. He supposed they needed to talk about what came next. He was sure their friendship wouldn't be ruined. She wasn't that type of girl, they had a friendship that was much stronger then a snog on the quidditch field in the moonlight. He didn't know what came next. He had no idea what she wanted and he knew even less of what he wanted. He had just broken up with Dio, but he still cared for her. No matter how much she didn't deserve it, he couldn't help it. This though, was different. The two didn't seem related at all. It never would have happened if he hadn't broken up with her, but it didn't feel like it was because of what had happened. The two, meaning himself and Kayleigh of course, needed to talk before he made any decisions. He didn't particularly want to bring it up, but he manned up and did it himself rather then waiting for her to do it. "So," he said, "what do we do now?"

It had been some time since she had been kissed as Tristain was kissing her now. She had missed that rush, that thrill in the pit of her stomach, but she could hardly breathe anymore. As much as she didn’t want to stop, she knew that they couldn’t keep this up forever. Kayleigh didn’t want Tristain to stop, she didn’t want to stop; she didn’t want the moment to end. Still, all good things had to come to an end and Tristain pulled his mouth away.
A sigh escaped Kayleigh’s lips as she kept her body pressed to Tristain’s. He was taller than she was and she leaned in to rest her head on his shoulder. Her arms stayed wrapped around his neck as she looked up at him. Well that was fun. Tristain said with a wink and Kayleigh grinned up at him, a laugh bubbling in her throat. It was. We should do it again. she said and lightly kissed his lips. but not right now. she finished and pressed her cheek to his shoulder again. Certainly not what I expected when I came out here to brood. Much more pleasant. he continued and she laughed. That’s what you get for knocking me off my broom. she said with laugh. But you’re right, this isn’t how I expected my day to end, it’s better than I planned. she said with a grin.
Something was bothering Tristain though; Kayleigh could sense it. She rested a hand on his cheek and wondered what he was thinking about. He was working up to something, his body language was cluing her into that at least. Likely he was going to simply say what was bothering him. That was one of the things that Kayleigh liked most about Tristain: he didn’t try to hide what he was thinking. Tristain would always tell her what was wrong. "So, what do we do now?" he asked and Kayleigh blew out a breath.
I honestly don’t know. I’m making this up as we go along. she said running her thumb along his cheek. I don’t know Tristain. Right now every bone in my body is telling me to be with you. My heart says to be with you. My head says to be careful though. I’m not going to be your rebound. IF we’re going to do this, the you and me, I need to know that it’s not because you feel bad about how things ended with her. I need to know that you want me too. I need to know that I wasn’t just the most convenient girl for you to kiss to try to get over her. Kayleigh said, for once showing a side other than the happy go-lucky Gryffindor girl that she usually was. At the moment, Kayleigh was almost vulnerable.
She stood on her toes and kissed his lips again. If you want me, if you want to give us a shot, you know where I’ll be. If not, we can pretend that it never happened. I want this Tristain. I want you, but I also don’t want to be with some one that doesn’t want me back. she told him. If I don’t see you tomorrow, I’ll assume that you just want to go back to being friends. she told him and pulled away. Kayleigh gathered up her broom and tucked a strand of blonde hair behind one of her ears before she started walking off the pitch. When she reached the entrance she turned back to send Tristain one last smile before she walked forward. Come after me. she whispered to herself as she walked back toward the castle.
