[[So I wrote this during Cal, and I didn’t have the assistance of your posts so I was doing it all from memory. So if I forgot something, just let me know. ]]
She glanced back and forth between the two waiting for an answer. It was obvious they knew each other. That much was certain. She was sure exactly how. She looked so happy. (Shocked, but happy.) So did he… maybe they had met and perhaps there was something going on… Her thoughts were cut off when Dom explained to her that they were cousins. She could have laughed she was so relieved. They were only cousins. She was worried for nothing. (A much more important question for her to be asking herself would have been why exactly she was worried. She was too happy to think about that now though.) Her attention returned to her friend when Risi started explaining why she didn’t know. The story made sense now. She should have seen it earlier. She wasn’t exactly the most logical person though. She nodded when she talked about losing a sibling. Dani knew exactly how hard that was for her. She refused to let the situation take a sad turn though. This should be a happy occasion. Long lost cousins reuniting.
So she smiled and looked back and forth between the two. “That’s okay,” she said cheerfully. She laughed lightly. “It really is a small world after all.” She reached into her bags to take out the apples, which drew attention to the rose wrapped around her bag. “Here you go,” she said handing the apples to her friend. “Eat them please,” she said sternly. Well stern for Dani. She still looked cheerful and friendly when she did such. She almost blushed at Risi’s question, but managed to catch herself in time. She wasn’t embarrassed because Risi was there (she couldn’t have possibly been embarrassed in front of her), but because Dom was there. She hadn’t blushed, but she was sure Risi would catch it. She looked at Risi and said, “Remember that one thing I told you about that first night here right before we talked about back in the US?” she asked her. She sounded like she was speaking in code or something, but she knew Risi would understand. The two often sounded like they were talking in code (both intentionally and not) because they spent so much time around each other. “We were eating breakfast together,” she told Risi making much more sense that time.
